Went there to discover this Brazilian restaurant as it's fairly new and with little reviews. The design of the place is great! Lots of space, high ceiling, glass ceiling bringing natural light, well decorated with a mix of traditional and new, comfy seats, and a great stage for artist to use. The problem is that place does not have a website and it does not seem listed anywhere so it would be very difficult to know who performs and when. I don't even think artist know about the place. We went there Monday bank holiday mid afternoon, so very few people inside but well staffed. Now, there are a few negative points... The staff was friendly but the service was quite slow to take the order. The music was quite loud and with staff that have an accent (like any of us) and are improving their English, it makes understanding each other more difficult. There are some nice fresh juices on the menu. The acai juice was very good (just the right sweetness to it) but the passion fruit (maracuja) juice was quite acidic. We had asked the starter to come first but it came together with the main. The starters looks interesting. We went for the chicken "croquette" (the size of a small tennis ball) and that was probably the best we had. The dishes are, I believe, typical from Brazil, that means beans, rice, potatoes and something else with very little to no vegetables... So heavy. I went for the beef rump (picanha a moda) but it was very dry, and somehow acidic. My wife had the feijao and she liked it. As I didn't want to waste, we could take the food back home which, with little improvements, made a happy lunch time.

Nice atmosphere, nice staff but I wouldn't go there again. Main reason is that when you pay your bill they hand you the card reader with couple of options for a tip, none of which is 0% - so basically they decided you wanna leave the tip matter what - the amount of tip is the only question. Set aside this terrible practice of handing you terminal, and waiting on amount you put there, not having an obvious option to skip the tip is another level of entitlement. Management clearly values a quick profit over winning over regular customers. Food was inoffensive. We had a beefburger which tasted ok, portion was on a small side and a bean stew, portion was generous but only one piece of meat in it. Prices are reasonable.

Oh boy, where do I start?! This has been the worst dining experience of our life. Place looks beautiful and food looks good. Service: Chaotic, server was quite rude, running around in a rush. We asked for a bathroom to wash our hands, server brought us hand wipes…..

Ordered Coxinha as a starter. Main dish arrived before starter, where in the world have you seen that? Unbelievable So I started with my main dish, steak that I ordered medium rare, that thing arrived completely rare. Asked if they could retry it a bit longer, got a new dish where steak was cooked well done. From one extreme to another. Had a feeling the chef was taking a piss I sent his raw steak back. Also, steak and picanha sauce were bland, you need to put salt and pepper yourself.

I like Coxinhas, that was good but chicken in the middle was cold, could have had fried another 30 seconds.

We ordered 2 caipirinhas, €20 down the drain. Didn’t even feel alcohol in it, most expensive juice I have ever paid in my life.

When my wife asked the bill, the server didn’t say anything and continued cleaning table next to us so my wife asked second time as we felt he didn’t hear as didn’t acknowledge, then he snapped at her “yes I’m gonna bring it”

We wanted to have some good Brazilian food and experience, that’s the reason we looked google reviews before choosing a Brazilian restaurant in Dublin. After our experience I have a feeling all these ratings are fake as just Brazilian community rating them up.

Overall, we didn’t feel welcome as we spoke in English and when asking questions, kinda felt like not your place when you don’t speak Portuguese. The guy who was bringing the food was nice though and kept apologising - more humble and that kind of person should be serving tables, not someone with grumpy mood and bad attitude. The whole dining in was a catastrophe since the beginning...

I recently dined at La Rocha restaurant in Dublin with a reservation for a party of 10 people. While the ambiance and setting of the restaurant were undoubtedly great, I must express my disappointment with the overall experience.

First and foremost, the service left much to be desired. My guests and I found ourselves waiting for an uncomfortably long time for our food to arrive. To make matters worse, the timing of the food delivery was inconsistent, with plates arriving at our table with more than a 10-minute difference between them. This resulted in a disjointed and unsatisfying dining experience, as some of us were left waiting while others began their meals.

The biggest disappointment of the evening, however, was the quality of the food, particularly considering that La Rocha specializes in Brazilian cuisine. The Brazilian specialty is meat, and unfortunately, it fell far short of our expectations. The meat served was absurdly tough and overcooked, which was a stark contrast to the tender and succulent Brazilian barbecue we had been anticipating. It was a let-down to say the least.

Despite the apparent potential that La Rocha restaurant has due to its appealing ambiance and setting, it failed to live up to its promise. The poor service and the disappointing quality of the main attraction, the meat, left us with a sense of regret for choosing this establishment for our gathering.

While I am open to giving second chances, I must convey my sincere hope that La Rocha takes the necessary steps to improve its service and food quality. With some adjustments, it could truly become a great dining destination in Dublin. However, based on my recent experience, I cannot recommend it as a top choice for those seeking an authentic Brazilian...

Well, I went there last Wednesday, I saw on their Instagram that they have a dish of the day.

The environment there is nice, beautiful, modern and well ventilated, a point in comparison to toucans and the old honey.

The waiters were polite upon my arrival, as it was Wednesday I ordered a feijoada, believing it was the dish of the day that costs €6.95, the food came quickly but it wasn't that hot, it cooled down quickly, my drink came later and the glass of tap water I ordered 3 times for three different people I'm still waiting.

I know that the feijoada here will never be the same as in Brazil, but I missed simple seasonings like salt, coriander, garlic…

When it was time to pay the bill, the Feijoada cost €14 and some broken, I asked the waiter if it wasn't the dish of the day (detail I was super polite because I work in a restaurant and I know how sometimes customers can be unpleasant) , he got defensive, even being a little rude when explaining that I had to ask for the dish of the day, because the feijoada of the day is different from the one served for €14. I told him I wasn't complaining, I was just asking, because it's not clear on the menu that it's different and that sometimes people come thinking they're going to pay a certain amount and end up being surprised, and sometimes we poor exchange students have our money counted lol …(it happens that I already assisted a lot of exchange students where I work and I already stopped charging a service fee and gave a friend discount to help because the person only had the €9.95 of the student meal).

I paid my bill and left a tip despite the service not being the best. I probably won't be back and I won't recommend it to...
