Overall decent bar to drink at if every other establishment on Camden street is full. I have gone to Camden bites 4/5 times and every time has been greeted with the same average experience. It’s nothing compared to neighbouring pubs like huckes or flannerys. It’s rather small and offers little room to stand/sit. Which to be honest is fine. Not ideal but fine. The drinks are the same overpriced business as the rest of town, but where it falls down is the toilet facilities. There is only three toilets in the entire establishment, men’s women’s and the disabled. The men’s also only being a urinal so if it’s a number 2 you’re hoping for you’re out of luck. Constantly very long lines and arguments often leading to fights on the “queue” or what you describe a queue. The pints are fine, definitely not worth the price if you’re a pint fanatic. The service is pretty poor compared to other Camden street bars and offers absolutely no politeness. And that’s on the best occasions. To be perfectly honest I leave this review only for the horrible experience I had the other night. I came in after work, 7 hour shift the week of Christmas. I understand it’s stressful Enough but after 15 minutes of no service with bar staff looking us in the eye we started to become annoyed. All was too much for my fellow customer who joked to me “he’s only serving the girls, no wonder we won’t get A drink.” Which I Laughed too albeit a timely and funny joke. To the young bar staffs disgust he heard this joke and decided to Bard us, perfectly sober and patient customers to the bar on this Wednesday evening. Outraged we complained to the fellow staff who only laughed and jeered us. The initial member being fairly young with curly hair never have I seen him before. Now I get this thing happening for abuse and obnoxiousness but we did nothing wrong and was bard wasting our time and theirs. To clarify we were not officially bard, but cut off. However it was very clear they wanted us out after we questioned their actions. My young friend, a few years younger than me, possibly college years took his own action and decided to get revenge if you like by downing a glass of baileys laying on the bar. He was instantly thrown out in a very aggressive manner, physically too much for someone who took a swig of a drink. Seeing this violence, I decided this “establishment” was too much for me and proceeded to instantly leave. The young bloke was fine thankfully, but the staff however was possibly the most self entitled, arrogant people I’ve met, which is saying a lot because I’ve met flannerys bouncers. Overall, Camden bites had a lot of promise but falls short on common human ethics and basic bar staff politeness. If I were the owner, which I very much am not, I would consider my staff positions a lot or at least have a crash course on common grace and decorum as they have the grace of stevie wonder reversing...

What an awful experience in here and what a dishonest barman!!
I ordered a bottle of beer and handed over €20. The pint glass I was given was dirty so I asked for another, it was dirty, and then the third glass was dirty. Finally I got a clean glass and went out the back to join my friend, forgetting my change in the process. Instead of following me out with it or sending a waiteress out to me, the older, bearded barman put my €15 change into his tip jar!!!
5 minutes later I realised I had left the bar without my change and thought it weird that they hadn’t bought it out to me(20 second walk max from bar to back yard). It was early evening and not that busy. When I asked the barman for my change he said "You just left and I didn’t know where you went". He had made no effort to find me and hadn’t put the change to one side like an honest person might do. Instead of opening the till to give me my change, where someone working for the bar might do, he reached into his tip jar where he had put my change and handed it to me. I've never encountered such a dishonest barman.
He was unapologetic, blaming me for walking off.
I will never be going in there again and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to a friend.
In any other pub in Dublin they would look for your and give you your change!!! I've never been in a pub that kept handing dirty glasses to customers. The barman didn't even check each glass himself before handing it over to me!!!
Worst barman ever!!!!!
I told the manager she should...
Read moreAbusive and aggressive. I have never seen such a shocking and shameful display of mindless unprovoked aggression then from the bouncer here. Myself and my friends were not even in the bar but standing outside on the street waiting for a taxi with our takeaway food. By brother placed his takeaway on the pavement by his feet to make a call. And totally unprovoked, without any sort of communication or warning, the bouncer came from his stool at the door. Across the outdoor seating area at the front. Across the path onto the public pavement and kicked the box of food scattering it everywhere. He then proceeded to shout vulgar abuse at us when confronted about why he did what he did. We were not patrons of the bar. Has no intention of going in and had not at all interacted with the staff. The bouncer walked out onto the public pavement, a place which he has no control or authority over, and in an extremely aggressive manner kicked a takeaway meal scattering it across the street. What then followed was a fountain of vulgar language and threats. It was an utterly shameful and disgusting interaction what had no provocation. The private security authority will be contacted over the matter. A person that behaves like this has no right to be responsible for the safety of others. It is a terrible reflection of the business if these are the types of people employed. Will be recommending that people avoid...
