About three weeks ago, my husband and I went to POG for breakfast. We consider ourselves relatively regular customers since we live very close by and absolutely love the food. That particular morning was a special one — we were celebrating because we had the gender of our baby written on a piece of paper, and we were thinking of a special way to find out who the little one we’re expecting would be.
After a delicious and carefully prepared breakfast, we asked at the counter if the team could help us with the surprise. We suggested that they check the gender on the paper and place a raspberry on a croissant if it was a girl, or a blueberry if it was a boy. Corinne, the waitress, got really excited about our request and suggested something even better — she offered to fill the croissant with pink or blue cream. We were completely thrilled with the idea, agreed immediately, and handed over the envelope with the surprise.
Keith was at the register and refused to charge us for the croissant — he said it would be a gift for us and for the baby. After waiting a few minutes, Corinne came over with the mystery croissant, and started recording us as we cut it in half to reveal the gender of our baby. After the reveal, all the café staff were behind the counter, clapping and celebrating that special moment with us.
POG already had a special place in our hearts, but after that day — full of kindness, care, and warmth — we will never forget how we were treated. We will never forget that gesture. We would like to leave our heartfelt thanks to Corinne, Keith, the guys in the kitchen, and another waiter (Brazilian — whose name we, unfortunately, didn’t catch). Thank you all, you are truly special. FYI:...
Read moreWe had the absolute pleasure of being served by Corinne during our recent visit, and she truly made the experience unforgettable. From the moment we were seated, Corinne was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask — refilling drinks, checking on our meals, and making sure every detail of our experience was just right.
What really stood out was Corinne’s genuine kindness and attention to detail. She remembered small preferences we mentioned in passing and made sure everything was perfect throughout. Her professionalism, combined with a friendly, personal touch, set a new standard for service.
If you have the chance to be looked after by Corinne, consider yourself lucky — she turns a simple meal into something special. I can't recommend her...

Service was really poor. No check backs once our food was served by the regular staff. An unconfident work experience girl brought our food over- obviously unaware of what the food was so just stood there in silence. Restaurant was nearly empty and other staff just watched without helping.
Everything was ridiculously over priced. €15 for Belinis served in plastic glasses? Strange.
Atmosphere poor. Their wash up is next to the tables so plates and cups constantly clattering. One member of staff pushed down rubbish in the bin and then went back to making his sauce without washing his hands. Restaurant run down and tatty.
It seems strange to hand out requests for reviews after such poor service....
