Terrible experience here last night. Our starters took nearly an hour to arrive. This meant we had no time for dessert (which was included in set menu of €55) as we were attending a concert nearby. When we did enquire about starters and their whereabouts, the waitress greeted us with a very cool and indifferent attitude and no apology for delay. Risotto was lovely and we ordered two portions of the prawns which consisted mostly of shells and very little prawn meat. I said this to another male waiter who just said he would tell the kitchen but no attempt was made to improve upon our starters. So we ordered some bread to mop up the lovely sauce, due to lack of actual prawn. They charged us for this bread. Mains were fine bar the duck which looked raw so we sent it back. We then had to rush off after a very unsatisfactory meal. We had to stand at bar and whittle down our final bill as they were trying to charge us full price despite the poor starters, one inedible main and desserts we didn’t have time to eat. No apology, we were made to feel like a nuisance for complaining. Will never return here, overpriced and terrible attitude from staff. They kept saying thank you and have a great night in a really passive aggressive...

Me and my friend called in after a few drinks at the fantastic local Porterhouse. Arrived and went to the restroom before ordering. After arriving back from the restroom we were stopped by a very rude French man who I believe must have been the owner/manager and confronted us about using his facilities while not being a paying customer. While trying to explain that our intention was to order food and dine there he simply wasn't listening and instead proceeded to yell at me and my friend telling us to leave and rudely guiding us out of his restaurant. His behaviour and attitude grabbed the attention of other customers as we were leaving and I can only imagine this being an embarassment for the business above all else. I have never ran into such a hot headed person in all my life and judging by some other reviews here, while the food may be good, the service and staff certainly are not. Needless to say I am happy we didn't end up spending our hard earned money here and instead opted for an amazing meal at Bunsen Temple Street and left a well...

My partner and I just wanted a chilled place in the center of Dublin but away from the noise. And we couldn't have found a better one! The place is small and we had to wait a bit to sit, but no more than 4 or 5 minutes. We were helped by a kind, friendly lady with a lovely french accent (we think) who gave us a menu with several options of wine and other drinks including some home-made ones that sounded really interesting. We were on wine mood though. And the wines they have are of great quality - we both agreed that they make you feel like appreciating the drink and no rush to finish. Each drop was worth it, and I particularly liked their Georgian orange wine. We also decided to try the dessert of the day, which was a tasty trifle with apricots (at least it tasted like, we didn't really ask). We did not order any food in the menu, but, judging by the food other people around ordered, the dishes look seem to be delicious and to have a generous...

My absolute favorite meal I had while visiting Dublin. Every dish we had was amazing, even things my wife got that I wasn't expecting to like. I wish I could sit and eat the entire menu just to try it all but I think I would become the piglet in the name lol. We got the duck gizzards, octopus, pasta, beef cabbage thing, and pistachio cake, I would eat it all again right now. Octopus especially was not what I was expecting but perfect as an appetizer. Service was also great. I didn't know what to do about wine but the guy took one look at the dishes I had ordered and in 5 seconds was like, do this one it'll pair well with everything. No idea how he did it but he was 100% right. Better meal than my anniversary dinner that I planned ahead and dressed up for lol.

Love the location and atmosphere of Piglet Wine Bar. Settled in a quiet side street, the outdoor dining experience was very enjoyable. I booked ahead of time, and the table cleared just at the right time. Had no extra wait upon arrival. The food was great, 3 courses for just €35. The presentation of each dish was impressive and and taste did not disapoint. We had a couple cocktails and a bottle of wine. The wine selection was adequate for the outdoor dining experience. Lastly, the staff was kind and attentive. Both members of the team helped us feel at home and welcome. Kudos, to them both!

I love this little spot! Tucked away a bit from the chaos of the Temple Bar main drag, Piglet Wine Bar is a delightful hidden gem. It’s a lovely French twist on a tapas bar. I sat at the bar and was well taken care of. Their wine selection is fantastic and curated with a discerning palate. This is the type of place where the kitchen is teeny tiny, yet produces incredible dishes full of flavor and the bartender doubles as drink pourer and focaccia prepper. Basically, they produce gastronomic and libation miracles in a simple yet charming space. Added to favorites whilst in Dublin.
