  • Updated with review from owner...Response from the owner an hour ago No pizzeria could guarantee a gluten free environment unless that the only pizza they made on the premises was gluten free, even using a separate oven would not negate the fact as there would still be particles of gluten in the air, that's the law. Not happy with the options in our restaurant you go on to berate our ice cream, our pizza (it’s a true Neapolitan Pizza, evidently you know nothing about pizza) our staff and our running of our business. It's clowns like you that the hospitality sector do not want, stay at home.

My original review... Gluten free pizza but it can't be guaranteed because they use same oven as regular pizza crust. No dessert for gluten free customers, even ice cream has wheat by products. Joke. Plus, pizza isn't very good. We just visited Italy and the tomato sugo is straight tomato sauce no seasoning, just tasted like the can. The servers don't want to be there. Our server never came back after food was dropped off. No follow up, no refill on drinks, no check. We got tired of waiting so we walked to hostess stand for the check and the hostess looked at us like we were nuts. So... Obviously, the check is supposed to be given at the table. On top of that the crust on the pizza was almost burnt but the top was undercooked. Never going back.

My response... Clown? I don't think so. I'm a restauranteur, have 3 spots in Atlanta. I know Neapolitan pizza very well. Your pizza crust is precooked, end of story. The middle is raw. Your staff is atrocious and rude and so are you. I am going to call you to tell you what I really think of you. Complete joke of a pizzeria. Btw, my complaint wasn't about gf pizza not being guaranteed... It was about this sauce that tastes like the can it sat in and lack of gluten free dessert, and mostly your rude staff that doesn't want to work. Apparently, they don't want to to work for the jerk being you. Hope you go out of...

Good pizza, but service is a bit shambolic. Three different staff were seating people from the check-in desk at the entrance and were getting mixed up. After we were seated, different staff were overseeing the same tables in our section. Ordered food (no water on table/offered). We had our shared starter brought out, eaten and after about 15mins sitting empty the plate was cleared, and we were asked if we wanted dessert - had to tell the (new) server that it was just our starter we had received, and were waiting for the mains to be brought out. Another 15mins passed and still no sign of pizzas so had to ask another member of staff who eventually came around (original two were still about but getting their attention proved near impossible). One pizza came out 5mins later, the other still hadn't arrived for another 10mins, so had to again ask for it. Pizza came out 5mins later, but no sign of the dips that were ordered with it, so had to ask for them when second pizza was brought out. We were going to get dessert but at that point we had no faith in the time that it would take, so decided to cut our losses. Didn't seem to be any floor manager. None of the 3 servers that served our table (or the extra one that was floating around in our section of about 7 tables) asked if everything was OK, if we needed anything etc, as you'd expect from someone properly trained. I get that mistakes can happen and no issue with that, but everything pointed to a lack of training for staff, and lack of management/supervision. There was a mistake with the table next to us too, and we saw someone else send back a full pizza for some reason too. Sunday evening and the place was moderately busy, but far from full, and really no excuse for not checking on tables during a sitting, or noticing that a table has been sat with empty plates for 15mins, as is pretty basic...

Shockingly bad experience for a restaurant in 2024 Staff came up to us 20 seconds after we sat down and said ‘are you ready yet’ (no pleasantries whatsoever), I asked for another minute and they did the same 30 seconds later. Waiter asked me to repeat what toppings I wanted three times (I only wanted 2 toppings). Pizzas came out with completely wrong toppings on one of them (mine) but they still left one with us so the two of us ended up not eating at the same time at all, mine arrived after my partner finished his (he waited for a bit but it was getting cold). I wasn’t at all angry at this point but disappointed so politely asked for one taken off the bill and she said she’d check with her manager, came back and said she could only do 10% at most. I reluctantly accepted after she said that wouldn’t budge, and asked for the card machine so we could leave. 10 minutes later I got up to pay at the server station and asked if I misunderstood that you get up to pay which the same girl said no but I can pay there if I want. I asked her if she was the manager as it seems she had made the 10% off decision alone, she said no so I asked to speak with her manager and then she said they didn’t have one working tonight. Having worked in restaurants for 8 years I’ve never heard of a busy restaurant not managing to get a single manager in for a busy evening shift so assume I was either lied to then, or if that was true, I was lied to about the manager only allowing a 10% discount.

Absolutely appalled at the experience and will not be recommending to anyone - we had one night stop over in Dublin and this really soured our night, they did not care about our experience at all just wanted us in and out. About the actual food - Pizza was distinctly average for a neopolitan, peppers mushrooms and aubergine all not fresh and come out of cans, so really no...

Hi there, I just wanted to share some honest feedback from our recent visit to your restaurant. We’ve been here before and have always really enjoyed the food — and this time was no exception. The food was absolutely perfect. Unfortunately, the experience around it wasn’t. We were seated at a table right next to the restroom and the spot where dirty dishes are dropped off. Almost the entire time, we had to listen to the loud, sharp clatter of plates being tossed into bins, the constant crash of cutlery, and the general chaos of the service area. It was jarring and honestly ruined what should have been a relaxing meal. What made it worse was that there were several empty tables in a quieter part of the restaurant, just across from us. I asked our server — very politely — if we could move there, assuming they weren’t reserved. He went to check with a manager (a woman in a grey t-shirt), then came back and apologized, saying the area was “closed.” But within 15 minutes, other guests were seated at those exact tables. That felt really unfair — and unnecessary. We hadn’t even started eating yet, so it would’ve been easy to move us. We weren’t asking for special treatment, just not to sit next to clattering dish bins and a toilet. I don’t usually write messages like this, but it was a frustrating experience, especially since we genuinely love your food and have come back more than once. I hope this is something that can be handled more thoughtfully in the future.

Amazing Pizza! Nice place on the edge of Temple Bar. Pizza menu is simple but has decent choice. All pizzas are made fresh to order and cooked in a proper pizza oven - fast and HOT. The pizza was amazing!! Up there with one of the best I have ever eaten. Same idea as Paesano in Glasgow. Really tasty, hot, fresh, and good selection of toppings. Also had clear allergen info on the menu. Staff are friendly but on our visit there just wasn't enough of them. 2 guys making pizza and 2 girls serving front of house. Eventually a 3rd front of house person arrived but he didn't appear to do all that much. The 2 girls were seating new customers, taking orders, bringing made pizza to tables, getting drinks, taking pizza to delivery drivers outside and taking payment from people trying to leave. They were totally over worked and didn't really have time to clean any tables from people who had just left. OK it was Easter Friday, so probably busier than usual, but they needed at least 1 additional person helping front of house and ideally another person dedicated to greeting, seating and taking payment from customers. They were so busy out pizza arrived before our drinks, only by about 45seconds, but still.... Everywhere I have ever eaten they take your food/drink order, drinks arrive, then food. It's never the other way round - unless the staff are so overworked they can't cope. Fantastic place, will definitely go back, but they need more staff front of house.

I'm italian and pizza is one of the dishes I miss the most from my home country. Since I am in Dublin I eat pizza every now and then due to high price in most of the Italian restaurants. I've heard about Sano pizza recently and I wanted to try it. I went yesterday with my flatmates and the first impression we had when we came in was "wow nice style this place!". We got a vegetarian, a sapori del sud and a speciale with gorgonzola. The menu has a good number of options between pizzas, drinks and sweets. Not many sides. Be aware that 2 special pizzas are written on the blackboard and there is no mention at all on the menu (just a little suggestion to the owners... Add a mention about the special of the day at the end of the list!). We got our drinks in 5min and the pizza in 20min. Service was very fast. The pizzas were well made, thin in the center with a nice well baked crust. The best in my opinion was the gorgonzola one. But all of them were good. The ingredients are of good quality and real italian ones. I went downstairs and some of the tomato cans and flour bags were still sitting around and were all from Italy. In the end the bill was easy to digest as was the pizza. The price is very affordable compared with the competitors. A Margherita here is 6euros while in other Italian restaurants is 10 euros. Overall I totally recommend this place. You will not be disappointed. I will eat pizza here again for sure very soon.
