Yellow Cafe — Restaurant in Dublin

My boyfriend and I came here for brunch thinking it would be really good due to the reviews but was really shocked. We walk in and ask to sit down and then the waiter stares at us as we sit down, doesn’t offer menus, nothing, I ask him for menus after 2 minutes of staring. The entire time he looked annoyed to be working there giving and attitude to both of us.

Food was genuinely not worth the price. Quality was so poor, tea was just water, eggs were overdone toast was burnt. They inflated the price so much for such a small quantity of food. They also state on the menu the veggie breakfast comes with sausages but it didn’t so you basically pay for some eggs and beans.

Zero quality of service, no one manning the counter, music was really loud, overall the strangest and least pleasant experience I’ve had in a while.

Save your money and go somewhere nicer in town or you’re better off making it on your own for way cheaper and...

Ordered the full vegan breakfast. Ok, I do understand they're not a vegan place and I would normally go to an exclusively veggie place, but I was in a rush and this was close to my accommodation, and the vegan option was clearly mentioned on their menu, so why not.

I got dairy butter (!!!) with my toast which makes me question whether they understand the meaning of "vegan" in the first place? Even worse, the smashed avocado was just full of lemon juice and tasted like it. Apparently it was not fresh and this is how they keep it longer. The veggie sausages were dry and stale, probably also lying around for a while.

Coffee was decent but I'm avoiding this...

Sharing some pictures of the food I have eaten here in the last few days- the Brioche French toast is a must try. If you are looking for healthy breakfast options- they have really tasty granola and organic porridge bowls. You can also try the really tasty Irish breakfast. The place is managed by really friendly people who would surely add some sparkle and stardust to your day. I also love their choice of music- it really soothes your ears as you try out these tasty dishes. Do pay this place a visit. You are bound to love it.
