Do NOT come here if you are looking for good sushi.

I came here with a friend as we were looking for places that offered sushi in Dublin, specifically "all you can eat". I love sushi and have been to many "all you can eat" places in the US, I was hoping for something similar.

For €40 per person you get some starters, a platter, and then tick some boxes on a piece of paper to order which sushi you would like.

This was the worst sushi experience of my life. Despite being called "Wasabi" Bar and Grill, and being advertised on Google as a Japanese restaurant, there is nothing Japanese about this place. It is a Brazilian steakhouse that, for whatever reason, also offers sushi.

And the sushi was the worst I've ever had in my life. Almost every piece was filled to the brim with cream cheese, even things like basic shrimp roll pieces. There was literally more cream cheese than rice. A huge amount of the sushi pieces had strawberry jam slathered all over them! The combination genuinely made me sick. The "nigiri" were the completely wrong shape and consistency and were almost too thin to pick up with chopsticks. The fish all tasted awful, especially the tuna. At some point, we were forced to soak everything in soy sauce to make it edible.

After one single serving of "all you can eat sushi" we decided to leave. There were 7 pieces still on our plate and thankfully we were not charged extra for it. I was unable to stomach any more.

Part of it is my fault for being uninformed, and I suppose I should have been more careful when I realised this place was Brazilian and not Japanese (I had no idea what Brazilian sushi was) but all I can say is that this was the most horrible food I've had in a very long time. I felt sick on my way home, and my friend threw up 15 minutes after leaving.

I can only assume the high reviews are for the Brazilian BBQ, which did look quite nice. If you want sushi, you can spend €40 on infinitely better (not all you can...

As someone who has actually travelled to Japan for sushi, I have to say the food here was fair to average at best. Pretty disappointing considering how good it looked on social media. The rice was way too sticky, so whenever I picked up a piece, it would tear the other one apart, and the fish was unnaturally fishy, which really put me off. But honestly, the worst part wasn’t even the food, it was the service. Easily the slowest I’ve ever experienced. When I arrived, I was greeted by a guy who was super professional and welcoming, he was brilliant, which started things off nicely. Then I asked the waitress for a menu… waited 10 minutes, nothing. Asked again, another 10 minutes, still nothing. Went up to the bar to ask and she told me, “please take a seat, I’ll bring you one.” Waited again, still nothing. Finally asked the guy who greeted me and he handed me one straight away. It then took 1 hour and 25 minutes for bao buns to arrive. When I asked, the waitress told me “they have to be steamed so they take a while.” An hour and 25 minutes to steam store-bought buns? Not once did we get an apology for the ridiculous wait for the menu or the food. On top of that, I ordered a Guaraná and got a Corona beer instead. The whole lunch dragged on for over 2 hours. When I asked about the hot rolls we were still waiting on, her reply was “yeah I think you ordered it” and she just walked off. Honestly, the girl needs proper retraining because her customer service was brutal. Maybe she was just having a bad day, but either way, I won’t be returning. The entire experience was...

Overall, the service was good and the bar staff were friendly and attentive, which made a great impression at the start. The place itself was lovely — it had a great atmosphere and setting, which really added to the experience.

However, there were a few issues that did affect the evening. We had to ask twice before we were given water, and it took around 30 minutes for the food to arrive. We had ordered gyoza along with another dish for our seconds, but unfortunately, we never received that dish at all.

Towards the end of the night, my sister asked twice for a takeaway box, but it took another 30 minutes for it to arrive. By that stage, I was tired and fed up, as I had to travel back to Limerick that evening. We even started packing up, ready to leave everything behind, and only then did they finally bring out the takeaway bag.

While the staff were pleasant and the venue was very good overall, the delays with the food and takeaway service along with not receiving one of our dishes were disappointing and dampened the experience. Because of the long wait times, I wouldn’t bring my family here if it was busy or if there was any chance of such delays happening again, especially for something as simple as a takeaway box. We also did notice that there were customers that come after us but as soon as they asked for the takeaway box they got it as soon as they asked so I really don’t know what...

Delicious Brazilian style sushi and more meaty Brazilian style food. Get the combo to see the dragon breathe smoke! 🐉 Not sure the all you can eat is worth it, lots of food with combos / routine portions. For dessert, Eton mess is delicious! 😍

I call the restaurant around 17pm asking if they would have the steak all you can eat at 20 and I was confirmed that I would have the option. When I arrive I was informed that the all you can eat was over and the only option available was the plates. Because I live far away I decided to stay and eat. I order 3 starters and 1 main plates they being the pastel of chicken and catupiry, cheese balls and the tilapia bites and for the mais dish the BBQ platter After waiting almost 30 minutes for starters and soft drinks I was informed that the tilapia was frozen and would take some time to defrost after that received the pastel, cheese balls. The pastel and cheese balls where ok the where very hot at least. But after waiting for a long time I received two main dish’s being the tilapia plate and the BBQ platter The look of the tilapia was very sad and flavourless I ask to change the plate for the right one and was offered to have the plate for free but was so sad that I decided to pass. About the BBQ the chicken was hard like a rock and the meat was acceptable the best part was the sausage. And after receiving the wrong plate and waiting for a LONG LONG TIME , the tilapia bites arrived and they where terrible they where soggy on oil and flavour coated in a batter of apparently just plain flour making the experience dragged and sad Not coming back so soon
