Hands down the best tasting food I have had in Galway this year. Went here on a Monday evening for a late lunch / early dinner. I didn’t know what to expect food wise as I hadn’t heard of anyone else’s experience here before and I thought they’re main focus in this place would be coffee as it is a café. When we arrived it wasn’t very busy, only two other tables and ourselves (It was half an hour until closing time). The staff were genuinely welcoming and let us know the specials. It was a tough decision as everything sounded great, I didn’t realise that this café had such a variety of food. We decided to try the Cajun chicken burger (€10.95) and the special of the day – a steak sandwich (around €12) and I ordered a cappuccino while we were waiting for our food. It was beautiful, tasty coffee and not at all bitter. I find it hard to find good quality coffee lately, even in high street cafes, but this was one of the most delish coffees I have had in Galway recently and they were very generous with the size of the mug as it was huge! Our food arrived quickly enough (It was very quiet and at this stage we were the only people left in the café.) and we were amazed by the size of the portions. The burger & sandwiches were huge, and both came with a side of chips and salad. This was the best tasting food I have had in a while. My boyfriend also said the same thing – we eat out in Galway regularly and he said, “This is the best food I have had in Galway.” Which is true! I don’t think I have ever eaten this amazing quality food in Galway that meets a student’s budget. There was so much flavour to everything! Including the chips! The steak sandwich did not come with pepper sauce (you could probably ask for it) but it was still full of flavour surprisingly and we did not want the meals to end as they were that good. The Cajun chicken burger is definitely a must if you plan on eating here, it was infused with flavour and everything in it went so well together. I don’t normally give 5 stars ratings, but this place deserves so many more and has become our new favourite place to eat in Galway hand down. I left with a great first impression of this café and I will be...
Read moreUnfortunately this cafe has really lowered it's standards. It used to be one of my favourite spots for lunch in Galway however, today I order a vegan breakfast which arrived with bacon. I asked for a fresh breakfast and all they did was take the bacon off the plate which is not acceptable and I had to again explain I do not eat meat and would like a fresh breakfast made. They forgot my coffee order. When I asked for water for our table they brought down on half filled glass of water and seemed annoyed when I asked for one for the others at the table. The food was terrible. No flavor, the toast was chewy and did not seem fresh. The portion of beans we added was about one teaspoon in a tiny dish. Honestly there's not a single positive I can think of. There was 6 staff members working front of house yet no one checked on us and it wasn't even busy. I would not recommend this cafe to anyone anymore. I feel like it was a complete waste of money, we left hungry as potions were very small. Really unfortunate as this used to be a great spot for...
Read moreMy first impression walking in was good and the staff seemed friendly enough, until the food arrived, I genuinely tought it was a joke, I asked for a "toasted Bacon sandwich" what I received was warm bread not even toasted, and two pieces of bacon in the middle, no butter, no condiments, nothing just 2 pices of meat between warm butterless bread, they had the cheek to charge me around €10 for that I swear I'd never go there again it was shocking, and when using the toilets anyone out side the others establishment are above the toilet windows and can see in perfectly, WORST FOOD ESTABLISHMENT I HAVE EVER HAD THE MISFORTUNE OF DEALING WITH Super rude after explaining I didn't get what I ordered, they couldn't justify it either but still wouldn't budge on price I literally got a better sandwich for €1.50 in Dealz across the road, and even that had more that 2...
