AVOID AVOID AVOID Everyone can have a bad day, and every chef can make mistakes . Unfortunately, the Front of House Team will be the one that has to handle/ deal with a complaint. 4 of us went in for something to eat, and we ordered a pizza, Kids Goujons, chicken Burgern + cheese, and a beef burger with bacon and cheese. The only thing that was actually eatable was the pizza. The burgers came with a small salad on the plate (as waitress, I would not let this plate come to the guest). The salad was black, and I mean black. The chips were cold, and the food was tasteless, no seasoning at all. You pay extra for Cheese âŹ1 (totally OK with me), but make sure the cheese is actually eatable and have it at least melted on top of the burger. We tried to tell the waitress that we were not happy at all, and all she did was show us her shoulder. I'm a chef myself, and I tell you I would have not send any of this food to my customers. Clearly, the chef has lost his passion for cooking, and the waitress couldn't care less. All I say is never ever again. Thank you for nothing, again, everyone. Just stay away.

Now, after your "answer," I feel like I have to edit my post.
First of all no one had come to the table to check on us but if you want your customers to come up to complain, you may have a sign up "PLEASE COMPLAIN DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF ALL THE OTHER CUSTOMERS"
Our plates were not cleared, so you are making things up here, I know you are trying to defend your business and your staff, and I would try the same, but not if the customer is right. I left my salad nicely spread around my plate so you could clearly see the salad was off. The Chicken Burger wasn't even half eaten. If you have to wait nearly an hour for your food to arrive and then beeing presented with what we got, you would write the same review.
The waitress never asked why I hadn't mentioned that earlier. She turned around and showed me her shoulder. (You may want to re-visit your CCTV)
You might want to re-visit customer service practices and maybe some staff training. This would help to avoid this in the future and you as an owner/manger should have a keen interest in getting the most out of your staff and having happy returning customers, but you are unfortunately failing...
Read moreAbsolutely the worst experience I have ever had in Ireland and I'm Irish. I was with 14 ladies and we were promised a glass of champagne on arrival, a glass of wine with dinner and two courses, all paid for in advance. The "Champagne" and I use that term very very lightly, was gone off and undrinkable. All 15 of us sent it back. We were left sitting there for over a half an hour with no service. We asked to speak to the Manager, who eventually came up after an hour. He refused to speak with us and intentionally ignored our requests and at one point held his hand up to my face and told my friends he would not speak with me. I assume this was because I was actually making sense and he was not happy with being challenged on the abysmal service of the place. It was dirty, there was no atmosphere and we spoke to another party of guests that had been waiting for nearly an hour and a half for their food. The food was shocking also and we did not eat any of it. We also noted that the dirty kitchen was next door to the ladies toilets with its door wide open.
Absolutely do not go here and spend your money. It is shockingly bad. I really hope the management (excluding the ignorant man we encountered on Saturday 22nd March) get in contact with one of the organisers of this party. We felt very let down.
The only positive was the lovely barman who was very pleasant to deal with. He gets...
Read moreWe stayed in the new âapartmentsâ that the company is branching out too. We slept two families, so there is quite a bit of space. Our reception inside wasnât great but outside you can get signal. Besides not yet having wifi, and a few other kinks of opening a new place, the apartment was good.
The apartment is next to the old city wall, the outside has a nice private sitting area with a picnic table.
There is a hob, oven, mini fridge, and microwave. As it is new there isnât a collection of leftover food/cooking ingredients from previous guests so we had to buy a few bits n bobs.
The customer service was good. he met us at the gate and showed us the place. He also brought us extra pillows and blankets when we asked.
The apartment is right in the city, you couldnât get more central. Quick walk to the dunnes shop, near the castle and within walking distance of almost anything in kilkenny.
Overall good stay, the price was a bit more then we would normally pay to stay somewhere. But we enjoyed our time and would probably...
