CAVE CANEM..referring to the waiter / owner...This was by far the worst experience ever... We asked for 2 glasses house wine...the waitress said ok...I had two glasses and they wanted me to pay 18 euros for 2 glasses of house wine!!! When I pointed this to the waiter / owner...he said that was the price...I insisted in having a look at the menu...and he... in a very rude way...answered back saying "that was the price for what you have had..." The man had just turned into a CANEM...

I insisted in a polite way (never shout to an angry canem) to have a look at the menu... Because House wine is always the cheapest...he brought then 3 pages with the wine list ...which we were not given in the first place...and there was nothing on them about the price of a glass of wine...all this with the Canem giving out to me in front of other customers ...He said ok..you win you pay what you want... 3 euros per glass..not 9....and then.. When I was counting the money..he took it up from my hands... Agressively .... Then I just told him ...GIVE IT BACK TO ME ..THERE IS MORE MONEY THERE...he threw it on the table and started screaming ..please pay and go....

Well..the pasta was not bad..but ..22 euros for a medium size plate of pasta?.with this service??

Hotels and restaurants are my family business... Also called hospitality ....helping to create good memories for strangers..making them feel at home ...showing with pride a bit about your land and culture... Very very very far from what I have experienced today...

Brutal ...Fatal.... Disrespectful....

They don.t feel neither love for the profession nor for the people.

CAVE CANEM (beware of the dog)

By the way...I just saw how the Canem answers back to people that give one or two starts...don.t miss it!...you will get a better idea...

We'd almost given Taverna degli Apostoli a miss, but we were hungry and google reviews for this place were good. It turned out to be the best decision we made. If i coud give this place 10 stars i would as the food and service were unparalleled.

Food For lunch we ordered the home made fusilli with Shellfish to share. The fusilli was made to perfection, and shellfish was very fresh. It reminded me fondly of my grandma's tradition handmade noodles with clams. We loved this dish so much we came back again for dinner. This time, we ordered the fusili again together with seabream grilled in leaves. The fish was so fresh and flavourful. As for the fusili, if you are planning on ordering this, don't forget to reserve some bread to soak up the delicious broth.

Service We were served by Sara and she made us feel so welcomed during our time here. When we had accidentally missed the last bus back to Salerno (timetables published on official websites are not to be trusted), we went back to the restaurant because we felt lost. Sara and her family immediately sprang into action, getting a taxi for us, making sure we were comfortable while we waited and escorting us to the pick up point. We will forever remember the kindness shown by...

Honestly if I could give this 6 stars I would! Mind blowing experience -from food to service. The staff was super polite and I can't stress that enough!

We absolutely loved the Taverna Degli Apostoli. The food and the wine are true representation of the Amalfi coast. This is located right next to the Cathedral in a cozy corner up the stairs!

We had to wait a few minutes to get seated because they were clearing it. The staff was extremely polite and welcoming. The staff also informed us that this is cash only. We got started with some Costa d'Amalfi wine which had a mild spicy flavor to it making the wine one of the most interesting wines I have had.

We got the burrata (this literally melted in my mouth) and then we got the lemon leaves wrapped Sea bream and lemon pesto. Just look at how shiny the burrata is... yummmm!! Our server was so attentive to every question we had and we enjoyed our time there. Our table faced the stairs going down and somewhere upstairs there was live music playing which was just perfect! This was by far one of our best experiences in the Amalfi area! We will definitely be coming...

Stop reading and eat here as soon as possible! The food is absolutely delicious. The servers were all pleasant and seem to be passionate about the food. We witnessed two servers debone and plate an entire fish and we were amazed at the level of care and passion they took. We ordered the caprese salad with burrata that was seasoned wonderfully, the tomatoes so fresh and perfectly ripe. We then ordered the gnocchi that melted in your mouth with gooey provola cheese inside and a delicious pomodoro sauce that we used all of our bread to sop up. Finally, the lemon pesto spaghettoni was absolute heaven and will be thinking about it for a long long time. There is a mix of Italian and Italian-American music playing, unfortunately the rooftop lights were shining in our face that light up the church steps so mind where you’re sitting. We would have ordered more but they are cash only which is a blessing in disguise since we would have easily broke the bank eating all their delicious food.
