Maybe it is because I came here early because I couldn’t slept the night before, but one of the older lady was not friendly and scammed a few euros. I asked if they were serving and they replied yes and I ate inside their home. The old lady tells one of the guys to bring me some pasta, and he comes back with a some of their homemade pasta on a paper plate. Which I didn’t mind, but when I took the first bite it was cold and hard. I tried my best to eat the most of what I can and asked for a to go box. When I asked to pay, she said it was 5 euros and she does not accept card, but I only had card at the time. So I had to walk 20 mins to the bank and withdraw money, I came back with 10 euros and handed it to her, I expected 5 euros back, but she thought I wouldn’t notice or something because she gave one 1 euro coin…. I love Italy and love traveling around Italy and this was the first bad experience I’ve had. I wouldn’t go back here, but it was experience what I saw over the internet of these...
Read moreABUSIVE WITH TOURISTS. The worst experience in our 3 week tour in Puglia. The lady of this spot Casillo offered to cook lunch orecchiete. Since the beginning she was rough/rude, but we thought once seating she would be nice. She never gave us a menu to choose from and only brought immediately a pot of cooked orecchiete with ragu, but cooked many hours ago and bad taste. We asked for only 2 portions in order to share. She threw the plastic spoons and the dishes on the tables, was screaming at us constantly. We asked for something to drink she had only a big bottle of already open Pepsi. We thought then, this would be a very cheap lunch, as the kilo of pasta costs 2.5€ and this is how they eat on a "humble" way. However when we asked for the check they wanted to take 15€ from each plate. We have eaten amazing in Puglia for average of $10/15 euros with truffle, top quality foods. And this was really offensive, an abuse...
Read moreFood and experience completely overpriced. I should've read the reviews before.
She was not friendly at all, her family was more kind .
The pasta was good enough but the salsa from supermarket. There are a million places where you can have way better food for that price and the Italians are way better than her. I wouldn't stop at all if I were you.
The 2 stars are because the tiny piece of Ragu and the areccietti were 2/5.
(I can't add the picture of the plastic plate with pasta)
Nunzia, if you are reading this, take 5' to serve the people and offer an unforgettable Italian experience, I really hope you can change this, for the sake of your...
