Mozzarella e Basilico — Restaurant in Bari

Very bad service. The person who seems to be as manager of the place treated us very poorly. The plates for food were (THROWN!!) to our table without any eye contact, any word said.the same way the plates were cleaned from table(thrown without any word). Waited for pizza 30mins and seeing everybody ordered after me receiving their food. No apologies from staff nor manager. They seemed to show even more aggressive attitude after I stood up from table and wanted to leave. By then manager let me wait another 5mins for me just to pay and insist me to bring the pizza with me so I need to pay for their mistakes of forgetting my food.If you think your restaurant is famous and you can treat your customers anyhow it pleases you then there is something very wrong in mindset of managers and owners of this place. I don’t think The restaurant is only about good food itself, should have some decent service coming...

Un locale semplice ma ben fatto dove gustarsi serenamente ottimi prodotti soprattutto ricette tipiche partenopee. Buono l'antipasto Panariello: un mix di fritti tra cui verdure, frittatina di pasta, arancini, crocchette di patate ecc. Le pizze sono buonissime, sia impasto che lievitazione, cottura e condimento con prodotti freschi e gustosi. Ho provato la pizza mozzarella e basilico, pizza viola, pizza trentina e pizza contadina, tutte consigliatene tornerò per provare le altre. Le bevande offrono poca scelta ma sufficiente. Consiglio di prenotare perchè si riempie rapidamente persino di lunedì e spesso è tutto già prenotato se ci si presenta all'ora di cena. Il servizio sembra semplice e cortese e tempi di attesa accettabili. Tornerò volentieri, ne avevo sentito parlar bene e avevo alte aspettative, tutte soddisfatte.

Panariello che si conferma buono;

la Carbonara di Mare che mi piacevolmente stupito perchè si sposa bene con i frutti di mare, pro: abbondante e buona quantità di frutti mare, contro: servita totalmente senza pepe, che ho dovuto richiedere al tavolo per completarla (allego foto differenze) e poi la pasta scelta era pessima dato che è stata preparata con le linguine che si attaccavano, non raccoglievano bene la crema e risultavano troppo sottili, una scelta pessima per il piatto, ma unica delusione, anche se mi aspettavo di meglio anche per la presentazione.

Il polpo alla griglia su purea di patate viola e sedano che si è rivelato davvero tenero e gustoso, con la crema di patate molto delicata e poco densa ma che accompagnava bene il tutto, il sedano secondo me suprefluo, si poteva dar croccantezza diversamente (es. crumble di taralli) ma nel complesso un buon piatto.

Frittura mista Buona porzione con gamberi, totani e qualche polipetto con una panatura davvero ben fatta.

(Al mio tavolo son stati ordinati anche tagliolini allo scoglio, porzione buona e soddisfacente) Buona l'offerta di bevande. I prezzi secondo me sono altini ma adeguati considerando le porzioni non certo misere, bensì soddisfacenti. Mi ha convinto ulteriormente. Aggiungo che son state soddisfatte anche alcune richieste relative al comfort, ma consiglio di chiedere al caposala che sa gestire meglio le situazioni.

We were a group of 9 people. The food was great, indeed. The service was OK, but you could clearly see the waiters discussing about us. They tried to be friendly, but very superficial. Credit to the hostess (curly hair, charming smile) - she was wonderful, by the way. The atmosphere was.... like a conveyer - people get in, they eat, they get out, as quickly as possible. Evidence for this was at the end of our dinner, although some people still had their last bites to go, the waiter told us "we need the table"... so we had to get up. Yet, there were several tables empty next to us. In conclusion, great food, pity for the service and atmosphere, atypical to the many hospitable, warm, cosy Italian...
