Completely awful experience.
We went to dinner on a friday night and the staff was delightful and extremely kind at first. The man that attended us, recommended one antipasti cold and hot (the highest price on the menu) and I told him we were going to look everything. We choose a different antipasti and I looked at the command in order to confirmed it as I noticed something strange. In the command figured the small antipasti we choosed and three second plates with their correspondent side dishes (food enough for three girls).
When the dinner came, the man brought us the big antipasti (the more expensive one on the menu and consistent of 4 dishes) besides the other small antipasti and although we told him that we didn’t want it, he told us that it was really good and that we could eat everything. As we were embarrassed and pressured, we decided to tell him to leave only the 3 smallest dishes and take the 4th one as we couldn’t eat it all. As well, he brought us two times two baskets of bread although we also told him we didn’t want them. When the bill came, he included the whole antipasti (36 euros) and when we ask him why he didn’t remove the price of the 4th plate, he told us that it was our problem to not haven’t eat it. We suppose these facts wouldn’t happen with local people, but only with foreign clients as we were.
It’s the first time that someone ask me to pay for something I haven’t eaten and forced me to eat something I haven’t ask for.
I...
Read moreUnfortunately I didn’t read the bad reviews before sitting down here for a Pizza with my family.
Had I done that I would have realized that a scam is being subjected onto customers with the bruschetta as has been pointed out here before by other reviewers.
One bruschetta was ordered by my wife. 4 bruschettas came to the table. We all assumed they were on the house as this is what happens in our hometown.
When the bill came, they charged 24 Euros for 4 bruschettas. 6 Euros each for two pieces of bread with some tomatoes and rocket salad. Laughable.
Add in the stupid coperto at 8 Euros (2 Euros each for sitting down at a plastic table with plastic chairs with no added extra).
That’s 26 Euros I didn’t want to spend.
But hey, nice extra cash if you can make it.
Scam the tourists. There are plenty.
I hope plenty will read this review and all the other ones and that place will go bust.
Shameless exploitation.
Disgusting.
If the owners respond to this, and try in any way to justify their shady tactics, just read the other 1 star reviews.
Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
Leaves a bad taste in your mouth and you feel like money has been...
Read moreWe ended up at this traditional restaurant in Bologna because it was already very late—around 11:30 PM—and there weren’t many other options still open for dinner. The food itself wasn’t bad; it had some nice traditional flavors. But unfortunately, the experience was completely overshadowed by the terrible service.
When we first arrived, we asked if the kitchen was still open, and the older waiter kindly answered us in English. However, the moment we started ordering, his attitude completely changed. He switched to Italian in a very rude tone, rolled his eyes at us several times, and made us feel extremely uncomfortable throughout the entire meal. It almost felt like he was annoyed we were there or that we didn’t speak fluent Italian, which was disappointing—especially in a city with so many tourists.
It’s a shame, because the food wasn’t bad, and we stayed mainly because it was so late. But the way we were treated really ruined the experience. With so many great restaurants in Bologna where you feel welcome, I wouldn’t recommend this one unless...
