I don't usually write bad reviews but I will make an exception for the exceptionally poor experience we had on November 3, 2021.

The waiter knew nothing about wine and just presented us with the most expensive options and when we enquired about the more affordable wine, he commented that we were cheap. They did not bring any bread with the antipasto and the wine arrived midway through our main course. When we asked for the bill, the waiter acknowledged us, then went away for nearly 20 minutes. He came back to attend to the newly-seated customers. He asked us if we needed anything else and we said we would just like to pay. He did not say anything else, so after 5 more minutes, we got up and asked the bartender about how to pay our bill. He informed us that we could pay at the entrance.

I could excuse suboptimal service had the restaurant been busy, but it was not. Please just tell us that we should pay at the counter instead of letting us wait for 20 minutes.

Abito a Merano e vado da anni a mangiare al Signorvino, fare aperitivi in compagnia, comprare bottiglie di vino oppure quando mi gira bene consiglio anche ad altre persone di dargli una chance perché merita.Questa volta mi tocca, ahimè perdere un po’ di tempo e raccontarvi una spiacevole situazione. Vado dritto al punto: entro, vedo una bottiglia di Franciacorta, leggo il prezzo sul cartellino, la prendo e la porto alla cassa. Quando il ragazzo alla cassa mi dice il prezzo, io gli riferisco che quello che ha lui sul computer non combacia con ciò che c’è scritto sul cartellino. Lui con l’aria da arrogante, mi risponde che il prezzo é quello che ha lui sul computer, senza nemmeno scomodarsi due secondi per andare a vedere effettivamente che prezzo è indicato sulla bottiglia sullo scaffale. Nessuna emozione, poker face. Io dopo aver già pagato tutto, gli dico “giusto che sai, per legge sarebbe obbligatorio far pagare il prezzo esposto e non quello che mi ritrovo alla cassa”, lui mi risponde in modo secco “ il prezzo che paghi é quello che ti dice il computer alla cassa”. Io allibita. Lui continua ” noi siamo obbligati solo a controllare se combaciano, magari qualche turista l’ha spostato” . Io gli ribadisco “a me sembra che la legge sia un’altra”, lui risponde “noi la legge la conosciamo, la conosciamo la legge” non mi saluta e fa per andare. Caro ragazzo, mi dispiace che magari sei sottopagato o hai fatto turni su turni e sei stanco di tutti i rompip*lle come me, ma ti allego qui questo, in modo che entrambi possiamo arricchire i nostri neuroni: “ in base al combinato disposto dell’articolo 14 Decreto Legislativo 31/03/1998 n. 114 e dell’articolo 1336 Codice Civile, il consumatore ha il diritto di pagare il prezzo esposto sullo scaffale e/o indicato sul cartellino. Ciò vuol dire che il prezzo esposto deve essere lo stesso battuto alla cassa.” Ora, detto ciò, metti anche che io da cliente avessi torto, non hai nessun diritto di essere maleducato. Capisco i gestori che fanno fatica a trovare personale competente, e che ultimamente hanno preso persone che secondo me, rendono l’esperienza davvero spiacevole. La concorrenza è grande, a me non cambia la vita non andarci più, ma sarebbe un vero peccato rovinare un posto così bello solo perché assumi gente inidonea e poco empatica. This is a review of the restaurant which I give it a single star because you have to with a review, but it's hard for me to agree this star was warranted. We arrived at about 8pm for dinner.

The restaurant was not busy but we wanted a place in the garden, which was. The single saving grace of our dinner was the staff being kind enough to find us a place outside but everything collapsed from there. The service was very slow, food mediocre at best and certainly not worth the price, and did I mention how bad the service was? The most galling price example was nearly €10 for a starter - tin of anchovies and some bread and butter. The anchovies were even served in the tin. A very disappointing meal cost us €90 in all.
