Mwahhh. The food was wonderful. The other customers are mostly locals. Complete Families, local businessmen, single women... Everyone was welcomed. Which made us choose for this restaurant. The food was delicious... The lighting was horrible though. Which makes the restaurant not as 'comfy' as it could be. It has old photo's and harbour oriented material on its walls. As it is situated nearby boats and a small harbour. Other customers who spoke Italian were however served sooner than us. And we got a table which gave us the opportunity to look halfway into the kitchen.... And we could hear the cooks express their disdain about cooking our meal... 🙄🙄. Hence the 2 stars instead of 3.
As said before... When we ordered we got the food rather later than the other customers. But that could be because we ordered warm first courses and not cold ones. Afterwards we also took some food home with us. Even after quite the walk home.... That food was still... Caldo e DELICIOSO. The staff does not speak English. And as I don't, or hardly speak Italian.... Google translate did the trick.
Is this restaurant an absolute must...? No,.... But it is a great local Sardinian restaurant with a tasty local cuisine one should not pass by when...
Read moreRecently, I had the opportunity to dine at Ci Pensa Cannas, a quaint restaurant that offers a taste of genuine Italian cuisine. The restaurant's simple and rustic appearance provided a cozy atmosphere, making us feel welcome and at home.
The staff at Ci Pensa Cannas were friendly and attentive, patiently helping us navigate the menu despite my limited Italian language skills. Their recommendations were helpful, guiding us toward dishes that showcased their passion for good food.
For our meal, we decided to try the pork cutlet, which was well-prepared and flavorful. Its simplicity allowed us to appreciate the quality of the ingredients used. The carbonara was satisfying and tasty, while the octopus salad offered a pleasant mix of textures and flavors.
One of the highlights of our experience was the cheerful atmosphere of the restaurant. It was enjoyable to see the staff and other diners happily engaging with one another, creating a lively and comfortable environment.

Read moreWandering around locality and saw this place which was bright and buzzing and obviously full of local people which is always a good sign. Really good vibe and quality local food cooked for all the family. Porcino chop was so tender and I had penne arabbiata which was the best I have had. My daughter wants the recipe. This is a great local restaurant and enjoyed it for the atmosphere and home cooked food. This isn't the high end of food in Cagliari but true and honest good food and at an amazing price. Service was swift and friendly. If you want the full menu choice, go earlier rather than later as seems to sell out! Had a lovely bottle of local white at only E13 which was delightful. Did not have desert but what others were having looked amazing. For something tasty and in budget...
