For us it was a Happy Return after 3 years because of Covid Lockdown and connected problems. Again we got a table in the cellar or Souterrain. But you also can sit outside. Plenty of the staff is the same like years ago. We got served by Melania, who again made a perfect job! Fast we got the menu and she took the orders. At once we got fresh bread (rolls). In addition we ordered some butter which also was served. It is necessary to mention that the prices are the same like years before! Where can you find it? It is necessary to pay the Management big compliments for this. The Ristorante is also offering a big choice of Wines at very fair prices as well. I ordered half a bottle of White Wine " Costamolino" (Vermentino) charged with 9 €. It was served with the correct temperature in a Bucket with ice cubes. Then we ordered Pasta with VONGOLE and Bottarga (15 €). The taste was very good. I also ordered Beef Filet in Pepper Mustard Sauce (20 €). It was of good quality and well prepared! As Extras you can order vegetable. I have ordered roasted potatoes (4 €). COPERTO is charged with 2,50 € per Person. Wifi (Internet) is not working in the Souterrain/Cellar! Creditcards are accepted. You need to go to the desk next to the entrance. My individual subjective Rating: SERVICE: 5 STARS QUALITY AND PREPARATION OF MEALS: 4 STARS PRICE AND VALUE FOR MONEY : 5 STARS LOCATION: 4 STARS I can highly recommend this Ristorante!

This is the best place to eat seafood in Cagliari. We were in town for 3 days and ate here twice. The food was very good, I think I actually had the best tuna steak ever, and the mixed smoked fish were produced locally and extremely tasty. Everything is cooked in a healthy way, and this is the only restaurant that I know of that's certified by cardiologists to protect your heart. But the most important thing here, is the staff. They are very friendly, well informed and speak English perfectly. My 2 year old son broke a wine glass and they changed everything on the table. At some point, he put a tomato slice in my wife's wine glass, and the waiter brought a new glass of wine free of charge. He kept throwing lego pieces on the floor. Not for a second, did the staff make us feel uncomfortable about all this. So whenever we'll be back in Cagliari, we will visit this place again. PS. If you don't book a table before, be sure to arrive 5 minutes before opening time, as the place is very popular and will get crowded in 20 minutes.

After reading so much good reviews about this place, we have mixed feelings after our visit last night,which is why we want to give 3 and 1/2 stars for last night's performances. First of all, the service was 5 star worthy! Everybody has been very friendly, attentive and helpful. The quality of the food however was very mixed. We ordered two starters, octopus salad and ham & melon, which were decent, but not spectacular. Especially the octopus salad was nothing special with no herbs (besides two leaves of parsley) or any kind seasoning which would make it memorable. The second course was Fregola ai Crostacei, and the Fregola were not cooked long enough and almost to hard to eat. There were some pieces of lobster in it but with no cutlery for it (which was brought by one of the waiters later on) and it was almost cold when it came. The second main dish was gilthead and filet, and both of the dishes came without sides, although we ordered rosemary potatoes. They were brought when we were almost finished with the fish/steak. However, both the quality of the fish and the filet were very good. The cafe we had to finish of the meal was not very good and it tasted as if the mashine has not been properly cleaned in a long time, which was a bit of a disappointment, given the fact that you can get very good cafe virtually everywhere in Italy.

We have visited this restaurant many times when being in Cagliari. This time it was a disappointment. The male service is rude and inattentive. I felt as if I were going on the male waiter’s nerves when making order and asking for the bill. I tried tuna tartar. Well, it was not a hit: served just with oil on the bed of rucola. The Tune was cut in big cubes of average quality. My partner ordered beef filet in pepper sauce. He was very unsatisfied: the pepper sauce was plain: almost no taste, the quality of meet was poor: a lot of muscles. He left the most of it. We were asked if we were satisfied and what the problem was. My partner explained that he was unsatisfied with the beef the answer was: I am sorry. The amount for the steak was not removed from the bill: we paid the full amount. That is why we felt extremely disappointed. Tiramisu was ok. Coperto charged: 2 euro. The bread is ok. The place is full in the evening, so if you decide to come: book in advance. I am sad about our experience as we liked the place in the past and used to be frequent guests. In addition, filetto was charged 24 euro, but on the webpage the price is 23 euro. Tricky behaviour.

This has been the second visit we have made to Antica and they never disappoint. I find the staff to be welcoming, attentive and cheerful. The restaurant has exquisitely clean marble floor including the restrooms. The ambiance is effectively welcoming - low volume music in the background that enables you to have a relaxing experience of holding a conversation as you dine with perfect lighting to match. The restaurant is embedded in what looks like an ancient cave with the roof offering a historic touch that meets the modern decor of the tables and comfortable chairs. The fresh ingredients provided an excellent meal and experience. We hope to visit again on our next trip to Sardinia. Thanks for the experience.

Fantastic seafood and great service. We had the seafood sharing Antipasti which came with 6 different dishes to share (min 2 people) Inc 2 different muscle dishes, octopus (which was so delicate), cuttlefish in a red cabbage salad, Tuna steaks, calamari. For main we had whole grilled seabass and grilled cuttlefish. Both were cooked perfectly and were complimented by the Sardinian white wine. Our Italian is not great bit our waitress and all the serving staff spoke English with no problems and the menu was translated in English as well. The restaurant quickly filled up so I'd suggest booking on busy nights like Friday or Saturday or at least getting there early when service starts at 1930.
