Gelateria Vaniglia e Pistacchio — Restaurant in Cagliari

Not a horrible experience per se, but definitely not a good one. We ordered gelato here recently and the server scooped a reasonable amount of gelato into a cup, then proceeded to slowly take little bits off and put them back, as if he had given too much. While I understand not giving away product for free, it left a sour taste in my mouth. My wife also noticed this.

Once we paid and walked away, I noticed that the quality of the the gelato itself was not very good either. I ordered the Dubai and it almost tasted.. watered down? Not as strong of a chocolate flavor as it should have been.

I'm leaving 3 stars because I've been going there for years, I love their ice cream. They used to have something like amaretto ice cream before and it was unbelievably good. A few months ago I went back and they had new staff. A girl with a long braid and no customer service skills (who seemed to be training a young boy) charged me double the price and I didn't go back all summer. I thought they increased the prices to that extent but then my friend told me she went back and the price was not as high. Changing staff often is not good...

Proseguimos con el Helado de Lotus. Un helado de Lotus que no me supo a Lotus el helado en sí, sino que me supo a leche merengada. Sin embargo, el helado contaba con trocitos de galleta Lotus crujiente (esto evidentemente sí que sabía a Lotus), los cuales aportaban de manera positiva a la palatabilidad del helado, pero sobre todo añadían una textura crujiente que contrastaba totalmente con la del helado en sí y que fue lo mejor del mismo. Y terminamos con el que más ganas tenía de degustar y el que fue el helado que más me gustó, el Helado de Pistacho. Un helado de pistacho, el cual fue el helado menos dulce de los tres y en el que se podían apreciar pequeñísimos trocitos de pistacho. En textura también fue un helado que fue muy de mi agrado por el juego que aportaban los trocitos duros.
