I always love it when the waiters treat you as if you would be dining in a 3 star restaurant but you encounter at best mediocre service. I came here after cycling and wanted to dine outside as I had no lock on me. It was clearly visible that the waiter was already annoyed by the fact that I wanted to keep the bicycle in sight and came in cycling cloths. Well, apart from the fact that they served every table three times more attentive than mine at least they brought beverages and food quickly. The pizza was ok (solid but not spectacular). It took them literally twenty minutes to come and pick up the empty plate, no question if I wanted to eat anything else, have desert or coffee. When I asked for the bill I had to wait almost 15 minutes for the waiter to come out again and tell me I need to pay inside. When I asked the waitress to keep an eye on my bicycle for a minute while I go inside and pay her reaction was less then pleasant. Total was 18€ for a beer and pizza. Honestly, you get served better in any kebab. When I said I was not happy with the service during the payment no offer for any discount, coffee or drink, not even an apology. This is the usual dump you get in tourist areas, overpriced food and understaffed restaurants with no measurable spirit for customer satisfaction but behaving as they would be the...
Read moreThis place seems like the best spot in Como to eat. Right near the lake, beautiful views, the whole lot. But it’s horrid. We asked to sit inside which seemed pretty empty, but they insisted we sit outside, so we complied. We sat right on the edge of the road in the beaming sun and I’m fairly sure I probably got skin cancer after sitting there for so long. After about 15-20 minutes of waiting we finally got served. We waited to order and once we started the waiter stopped us and told us to wait. So we did and waited until he was ready, once he was we ordered our food and a couple of beers. To be fair, the food came quick and we were ready to give them a second chance, but after that first bite I wanted to get out as soon as I could. This was one of the worst, if not THE worst pizza I’ve ever had, especially in Italy. The toppings (including cheese) would fall off after you try and pick up a slice, the beer got warm in about 5 minutes due to no shade where we were sitting and the Cesar salad had no olive oil and was the driest thing I’ve seen since the Sahara. We also waited about 20 minutes to pay after we “finished” our food. Easily the worst experience I’ve...
Read moreWe ordered 2 margherita pizzas, 1 with and 1 without basil, a diovala pizza, and potate dorates. The food was really good. I asked the waiter how big 1 pizza is and he said enough for 1 person so we ordered 3. The pizzas are big with 8 slices! We could have ordered only 1 or 2. Not sure why he said that. Other than that he was funny and nice. 3 stars for service because the man at the register was rude. We asked to use the restroom and he responded rudely, that we cannot use it unless we buy something, as he was walking away. We had just finished eating and were going to use the restroom and pay. We told him we just ate. When we paid, he asked cash or card, I said card then he let me stand there for about 2 mins as he began cleaning and putting dishes away without saying anything?? I was so confused just standing there then all of a sudden he did something on the computer and passed me the machine to swipe my card. They also charge coperto, 3€ per customer, for dining in which isn’t bad but if you go with a big group it can...
