My boyfriend and I wanted to try out the resturant for our first time. When we arrived, the male wait staff told me I can dine now but I only have til 8pm. So we agreed and felt that 1 hour should be adequate. Once we were seated, a female wait staff provided us with the menu and was very helpful to provide feedback and check in. However, some time had pass and the order was taken at around 715pm , our insalata arrived at around 730pm and we finished eating around 745pm. Just before the main dish was served to us, the same male wait staff, named , Sebestian who we later found out was the son of the owner. Sebestian approached me abruptly and scold at me infront of other customers "you were suppose to be done by 8pm and now your getting a secondo!!". At this moment, I felt embarrassed and humiliated by the wait staff addressing me openly and rushing me to leave. Even though I had the intentions to quickly finish the meal and aim to leave before 8pm but I cannot control how quickly food gets cooked and served to me. Also to be rushed to leave in the middle of my dinner was very off putting and extremely rude. Also what seemed odd, was there was people coming in after us or waiting to be seated.
This was an extremely disappointing experience for a resturant that held much expectations for me. I completly loss my appetite and although my main dish was served to us, my boyfriend and I decided to just take a few bites and have them pack it for us to go as we felt uncomfortable with the experience.
I would like to say thank you for the female wait staff for being so thoughtful and considerate of us to not rush us, advocated for us, and even made accommodations to allow us to stay any extra 30mins, and thank you for being so...
Read moreThis restaurant is truly amazing! We didn’t have a reservation, but read a great review online, so we set out to try it. When we got there, the server explained that there were no tables available until about 9:30pm (yes, bc it’s THAT good!). We were hungry, so we left thinking, “ok, tomorrow night we want to go there. Let’s try to get a reservation.” As we walked away, the server chased us down and explained that they did, in fact, have a small table available outside. We jumped at the offer. OMG, the food is wonderful! My suggestion for a starter would be the mozzarella appetizer (with the tomato sauce). It’s so unique and different from the typical mozzarella apps at other restaurants. Also, the service was great!! As Americans, we’ve come to expect “luke warm” service at best. After all, our Italian is really bad, and let’s be honest, our global reputation is now stellar. However, it was different here. Our waitress spoke English very well, she didn’t make us feel bad about not speaking Italian, and she was very attentive. She checked in with us repeatedly (this is not typical at most places), and offered good suggestions and more of everything. This restaurant seemed very popular with the locals as no one around us was speaking English. You must try it, but make a...
Read moreThis is not only the best restaurant for my trip in Italy but it's also my all time favourite so far.
A fancy looking restaurant and food quality without the fancy prices and sizes (in my opinion).
The menu had a large number of salads and Budda plates, but in the end I decided to take the first course of sea food with pasta (which was surprisingly a really good mix and the octopus was my first time and I'm glad I had it.). I then had the pork loin for mains which was also delicious and the best way I could call the potatoes, is fancy and delicious. Finally I had the cheese cake for dessert which was also delicious.
My meal cost just under 30 euros, in my opinion a good and fair price for two courses, dessert and about 3 glasses worth of water.
The only downside side is I think the starters and salads are a bit pricey (about 10 euro each I think, but I may be mistaken) and the Buddha plates I think are around 10 Euros and above.
Overall a great place to go to and in my opinion a must go to, even if you're trying to save a bit of money it's worth it.
Great food, great service (even got a handshake from one of the waiter's which I thought was very nice and respectful) and a very good price (specially for the first, main and dessert courses)....
