Ristorante e Pizzeria Fontana D'Oro — Restaurant in Como

Had there five course meal here and it was Litterally some of the best Italian food I have ever had in Italy. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients and can tell each dish is handcrafted. The plates are also presented beautifully and you have a great view of lake Como. The vibe is exactly what you would want from a place in Como upscale and beautiful. The staff was marvelous to work with and gave us anything we needed. They were very easy to work with. We started with an entree of different meats with tomatoes and onions. You could tell the meat was high quality and prepared very well. The second plate, which I don't have a picture of, was the one the bread plate with several amazingly tasting breads that had been made same day, the third was a pasta plate served Al dente. The flavors just rolled around on your tongue a mixture of slightly spicy and flavorful cheeses. The main course was veal and potatoes. This part of the meal was pretty average but when combined with the rest of the food tasted amazing and we ended the night with the chocolate mousse which was incredibly rich and to die for. I started my meal with a pasta dish, which was cooked to perfection. The pasta was al dente, and the sauce was flavorful and well-balanced. The portion size was generous, and the dish was beautifully presented. For my main course, I opted for a pizza, and it was one of the best I've ever had! DONT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES. I think i share my experience here so everyone knows what to avoid. The whole trip was ruined as it left me in a very bad mood after. My friend and I decided to go to this place because of the view on the roof terrace. It was a very quiet restaurant on the street. We got told we couldn’t sit of the terrace if if we didn’t order food so we decided to order food there. I ordered seafood plate with no squid, the waitress( young, blonde) stared at me for good 2 min because i asked for no squid on my plate. I was so scared of the stare so i said its fine. She was so rude and just walked away after that. When my food came, there was 70% squid. I was completely in shock as we paid so much but the food was so cold (literally like room temperature) and the fact that they dont care about allergies at all. I had food...
