Santa Pasta — Restaurant in Como

I went to Santa Pasta twice. The first time I had Carbonara. That was good enough for me to go back the next day where I had two dishes, greasy I know, Lasagna and all'amatriciana.

The Carbonara was very very nice, I would get it again.

The all'amatriciana was okay, I think I was expecting more to be honest. I wouldn't get it again.

The Lasagna was one of the best I had. Flavour wise, wow. The meat sauce was amazing. The arrangement, it was all a little too loose, I prefer the shape being kept, and one small area was crispy as it wasn't covered, but I could have ordered another one there and then to be honest. It was great.

It doesn't look like a place where in Como you're looking at thinking this will be great food, but out of all the restaurants near the lake, this was the best. And if I were to go to Como again, I would...

We came here for dinner based on the good reviews on Google. It turned out to be a terrible experience. The cacio e pepe pasta was mediocre at best (underseasoned), and the carbonara was one of the worst I've ever had. Maybe pastas seem tasty to someone without a comparison, but they weren't. When the waiter asked if we liked everything and we said the carbonara was definitely too salty, he tried to convince us that everything was fine, that guanciale was simply salty by nature. Then the waiter told the other waiters and even the chef – they pointed at us and laughed. This shouldn't happen in any self-respecting restaurant. We ended up eating bad pasta, being ridiculed by the staff, and paying a mandatory 3 euro tip per person for the service... I DO NOT...

THE BEST PASTA WE'VE EVER EATEN! HANDMADE FRESH PASTA LIKE NO OTHER! Everything here is fresh and tasty! We were on vacation in Como and discovered this charming restaurant. what a gem! The place is warm and welcoming, with friendly and knowledgeable staff who kindly fulfilled all our requests. The service was excellent! We ordered the ravioli and the tagliatelle with ragù, Absolutely outstanding! We've never had a dish so delicious and clearly made with love.
