Beretta il Fornaio — Restaurant in Como

Queued for long before my turn to buy their famous cloud bread. The cashier was bagging a cloud bread and suddenly an Italian lady popped by via the “express” counter and checked out with the bread which the cashier was bagging. I was left standing there to wait again. Staff has zero respect for their customer. Not sure if it’s because I’m not Italian.. but I observed that others who couldn’t speak Italian were waiting for a long time too.

Unless you enjoy being disrespected, I suggest you skip. No matter how good the baked goods are, the experience will not make it...

This place is amazing!!! The focaccia and pizza are great. Although we didn’t try any of the bread or pasticcini, they all looked really good.

My only gripes with this place were that it was packed, and there wasn’t much room to move around. And also there’s no place to sit right outside the place.

But if you’re coming here just to grab some food and walk around Como, then it works...

It’s an ok bakery but the system to make a purchase is a joke. You wait in a line to make an order, get a ticket then you go into another line to make a payment, get another ticket and go back into the first line again to pick up your stuff. The staff in the first line is issuing tickets for payments and trying to figure out what you paid for and where is your order. An absolute waist...
