Brunelleschi Bistrot — Restaurant in Florence

Went here for dinner on 11th October. We ordered a dish called ‘Carboncino’ which was priced at 11 euros on their menu. But they billed it for 14 euros. At the time, I paid it but somehow, I had a nagging feeling that I was overcharged. The next evening, when we happened to pass the restaurant, I checked the menu on display and confirmed my doubt. When we informed the hotel staff, they told us that they have increased the rates in the billing system but menus still carry older rates. They then asked me for a bill so they can be sure. My immediate thought was, when you know there is discrepancy at your end, do you really need to see the bill? But without getting into that, I just told them I have the bill at my room (luckily, I have habit of saving smallest of the bills until I complete the trip) and will get it the next day. Upon hearing that they suddenly realized they wouldn’t need to check the bill and paid me back the difference. I also checked their online menu and even there the price is 11 euros. We had lunch here on our first day. Run and keep running. The service was the worst. We had to wait maybe 20 min for service and when she finally comes we are still ordering and she walks away. We had to ask for the beer 4 separate times, finally got it about 10 minutes after last asking. She brought the water and no cups, eventually she brought the other drinks. Not to mention, we were sitting there waiting for her to come with drinks, and she was standing there on her phone texting away. My daughters ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and we were expecting a grilled chicken breast but no, they got a cold cut sandwich in toasted bread. If that’s what it is, update the menu. It’s misleading. My food and husbands was ok. Nothing special. We ordered coffee, eventually it came and the bill as well. The whole time while serving us it’s like they are doing us a favour. This place is an SCAM!!!! Avoid at all cost! Asked at the door if we could have drinks standing at the bar, we were told yes and then once we ordered we were forced to sit down. They brought little snacks to where we were like most bars do in Italy and the slices of pizza and bread were microwaved so you couldn’t even bite into it with the rubbery texture. We ordered two drinks that should have been $10 each according to the menu posted on the wall and they ended up charging us $15 each and when we asked why they said because you sat down. We explained that we had asked to stand and were forced to sit, they did not care and just shrugged their shoulders.
