Look no further folks...this is the authentic Italian experiance you have been looking for. We were on a Carnival Cruise (Horizon) and this truly hidden gem was recommended to us by our tour guide Stephano. We walked down a narrow street and found the entrance and was greeted by a gentleman who acted if he had known us for years. We were escorted downstairs to a table and was presented a menu that had numerous choices of italian dishes to choose from. At first glance I thought due to the low prices these would be mini-servings but folks that was not the case. These people feed you and then some. I dont recall the exact name of my meal but something similar to chicharrones and potatoes (not official name) but it was to die for. I sat there and enjoyed every bite of this savory dish. The wife had the Tuscan Bread Soup and it was by far a homerun. Yes..I had a couple pokes at her dish too...YUM! Knowing that we found "the spot" to dine...I went overboard and ordered the ravioli while I had the chance. Its gonna be a long, long time before I'm back in Italy or Europe for that matter, so I splurged a bit. This ravioli was not like none I have ever had...I cant even describe how good it was to put it into perspective. We also enjoyed several servings of their house wine. I found the white was killer...super smooth, sweet and didnt make you thirstier like others. Truly and A+ all around. We enjoyed this late lunch for approximately 90 minutes and was catered to again as if we were family. If I remember correctly, our bill was approximately 35 EURO and that was with 3 dishes and our wine. The wine was served as 1/4's which was like 2 glasses or 1/2's which equated to 4 glasses per servings. I know I had 2 1/2's and the misses had a 1/4, but at that rate who is really counting. Trust me folks...this is the place stop in and enjoy a quick nibble or an all out meal. We ate at numerous places while in Italy and paid twice as much and got nowhere near the amount of food or service we got here at Fiaschetteria Nuvoli. Put this place on...

Filled to the rafters with locals on a weekday night, we were led to a cozy seating room with a giant wine rack with a multitude of Italian wines to choose from.
I ordered the Pappardelle al Cinghiale, a signature Tuscan dish of flat pasta in a wild boar ragu marinated in red wine. This one had wild boar and beef, was seasoned beautifully and packed a hearty punch of flavour. My girlfriend chose the Zucchini omelette with roast potatoes which were nice too, but get the pasta if you can.
For dessert, we tried the Crostata di More which was quite excellent – a crumbly pie crust went well with thick, luscious filling made with fresh blackberries. If you like a good home-baked fruit pie, you'll enjoy this one.
The staff are jovial and pay nice attention to service. The prices are quite decent considering the central location, so definitely a nice...
Read moreThis was written in 2022, but google did not post it. Τhe food was delicious and the personel was delightful. We ordered 6 plates and wine for four people. Every single thing was delicious (this restaurant can make you love chickpeas, if you don't already like them). I highly recommend the eggplant with parmesan and the zucchini "omelete". The ravioli and the pappardele were really great too. The wine was somewhat dry, but flavourful nonetheless. What's more, the vibe of the restaurant is very cool and cosy. Interacting with the personel felt like interacting with friends. They were very cheerful and seemed to enjoy themselves. They even treat us and some other customers limoncello shots and we cheered all together. The restaurant was a bit pricey, but definitely worth every cent. If you visit Florence, do yourselves a flavour and dine...
