Personalmente ritengo scorretta la possibilità di poter cedere insieme ad un’attività anche il nome ed in questo caso il nome di un grande professionista gelataio, perché se ora vado a mangiare un gelato dall’Ermini in via Gioberti, sinceramente mi sento un po’ “imbrogliata” perché in realtà non c'è più il sig. Ermini a fare il gelato. Purtroppo, dopo decenni, la gelateria è passata di mano, i locali sono stati rinnovati, sicuramente in meglio, ma di una delle migliori gelaterie di Firenze, secondo me è rimasto poco… un colpo al cuore, o meglio, alla gola! Il lungo bancone che prima era tutto occupato da vaschette di gelato, con una notevole quantità di buonissimi gusti diversi, ora è diviso in due parti, da un lato il gelato e dall’altro le solite brioches/cornetti, panini/salati vari e aperitivi che si possono trovare in un qualsiasi bar nelle vicinanze. La vetrina frigo che conteneva zuccotti, semifreddi, torte gelato e altre bontà … sparita. Purtroppo siamo passati dalla grande "Gelateria Ermini B. Figli” all'attuale "Gelateria Ermini Caffè e Cocktail Bar”. Il gelato, nei gusti rimasti, onestamente non è male, ma è lontano dalla bontà dei gelati di prima.
