Caffè Duomo — Restaurant in Florence

If you are looking for decent Italian food, go somewhere else. This place was horrible. Perhaps I am wrong. Perhaps authentic Italian food does taste exactly like Chef Boyardee. If so, kudos to the Chef. We thought that we would give this place a try, since it was in a great location and seemed to be reasonably priced. Don’t fall for it. The salad was small and unsatisfying. The lasagna was horrendous. I don’t know how you can ruin such a great dish, but they sure did. It was about as thick as a plastic knife and tasted like canned sauce from Boyardee. Went to this place for dinner based on Google rating only to found out it was completely overrated. I ordered a beef slice dish. It looked really good but the quality of the beef was not ok. Too much vein in the meat to chew with and I ended up wasted half of the dish. Service was bad too. Nobody ever asked me if I would like anything to drink, not even water. Inside nice..that's where it ended. Drink order wrong, food order wrong. How can pizza in Italy be subpar??
