Le Carceri — Restaurant in Florence

We went here with a tour from Royal caribbean, so we did not order from a menu we had a set dining lunch menu. They served us pesto pasta and a meat bolognese sauce with homemade pasta. Both were amazing!!! We asked for Parmesan and bread as well. The bread was to die for. With our lunch, there was all ready a white wine poured for us and a bottle of red on the table. Both are dry wine. Not bad to me. My wife prefers a sweet wine like Moscato. At the end of the meal, they served fresh Biscotti with a sweet wine mix. Do una stella, perché purtroppo non posso darne zero, Volevo valutare con zero stelle, il servizio che mi è stato offerto dalla pizzeria. Ho chiamato una settimana prima per organizzare una cena con dei bambini e mi hanno dato l’ ok, il giorno stesso E preciso una settimana dopo ci hanno richiamato Per avere conferma della nostra presenza e abbiamo ricevuto questa spiacevole notizia che avevamo un’ora di tempo per mangiare abbiamo prenotato alle otto e ci hanno detto che i bambini dovevano andare via alle nove perché dicono che fanno casinò e dovevamo quindi mangiare in 1 ora con 12 bambini, una cosa impossibile. Ovviamente ogni ristorante può fare quello che vuole, però una settimana prima della prenotazione non puoi dirmi il giorno in cui vengo a mangiare con 12 bambini tra cui anche adulti che non posso più venire lì, perché i bambini fanno casino è una cosa inaccettabile andava detto prima. Se non sono ben accetti i bambini che mettano un avviso all’entrata e sul sito così che non vengano, comunque ricordo, sono bambini!! My dining experience was terrible and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I was a solo diner and I was told the wait would be 20 minutes. Turns out everyone that arrived after me got seated right away and I waited for an hour. The waitresses were nice but it took forever for my pizza to arrive. Others around me were also fed up by the lack of service as their pizzas didn't arrive on time either. Some tables actually left because the service was so slow. The pizza itself was reasonably priced but tasted average. You can definitely find a better pizzeria around Florence without...
