Welcome to my favorite bar in Florence. I enjoy everything about it -- the decor, the coffee, and can we please TALK about the pastries?! They are out of this world! I've been visiting regularly over the past two months and I can confidently say that everything is top notch. Plus, they are located right by the Arno River, less than five minutes' walk from the Ponte Vecchio, making it a convenient stop for any of your other Florence plans. Tania, Alessio, and everyone else who works there is incredibly kind and helpful, even when it gets crowded--a situation that would make regular people stress out. Not them...they handle each order with care and ease, making you feel incredibly welcome. They have a wide variety of food options, whether you need a sweet treat in the morning or something more substantial for lunch. If you ever see a pastry called "fagottino all mela," get it...it's like an apple pie in a pastry. Or, don't...I want to make sure it's there for me the next time I stop in. :) Highly...
Read moreWhere should I start...the worst service and staff in Firenze! Only two people were sitting the small cafe and the staff was already overloaded. No smile, no talk. They just wanted to close the doors and go home. They didn't help or suggest anything. Just waited amd starred at our faces with empty eyes and emotionless faces. We ordered cannoli, tiramisu and the small pies/tarts. All these were not fresh (2-3 days old). As our coffees were ready, the waitress wanted to throw the cups at our head. We just wanted to eat and get out. If you don't want to work, then don't open the shop! I am not the one who forces you to work there. Coming to the taste. The tiramisu was just whipped butter and creme. No coffee taste. Cannoli supposed to be crispy or crunchy. Soften shell, terrible creme. The tart was soft and filled with nutella. If you have some graham crackers and nutella, you would have a better experience than us. I don't know what to tell, but please try another location. Please, don't ruin...
Read moreOur breakfast spot for the day. Came here as it was by the Arno River and we wanted to enjoy a norning walk to the cafe.
Hot choc was good. Wife liked the capucino. Sfogliatella with the pistachio cream topping and a sweet cream within. The flavours were fantastic but the puff pastry was rather chewy for me. Dont know if its the style as it ny first time trying.
The sandwiches were ok. Would have loves to try more pastries or their cupcakes but cant put in any more food 😅
Feels like a local community shop and i find florentines...
