The service at this place is comically rude. I completely understand that tourists are annoying and working in the heat on your feet is exhausting, and can understand if one person might be having a bad day - but not if it’s every single staff member we come in contact with!

Me and my partner came yesterday for drinks, it took us 15 minutes to be seated. The outside area was around 1/4 full. The waitress wouldn’t even look at us. When we finally were shown to a table, we asked whether it would be okay if we just had drinks. She said yes then left for another 20 minutes. When she finally came back for our orders, we placed an order for 2 glasses of wine and she said ‘is that it?’ And rolled her eyes at us, snatching the cutlery off the table - even though we previously expressed we only wanted drinks and checked with her whether this was okay.

The other waitress who served us was also incredibly rude, refusing to speak to us and slamming items down on the table. When we tracked her down to pay, she turned her back on us when she told us that we needed to pay inside.

When inside, it took another 15 minutes to pay at the counter, even though we only had 2 drinks. Whilst my partner was paying, I browsed the wines on sale, and was considering buying one until another staff member from the interior came up to me and brusquely demanded if I had a reservation - no I was just looking at the wines …. You sell in your shop…. Because my partner was taking so long to be served!!

I never normally leave reviews because again, I understand people have bad days and I appreciate how damaging an ‘angry’ review can do to a business, but the entire service from start to finish was completely awful and every person we encountered was...

We had a bad experience at this restaurant in Firenze unfortunately. We choose this for the balcony view of Ponte Vecchio. After sitting outside we were first greeted by a friendly male waiter whom handed us the menu. After that the nightmare started. A female waitress then came to our table and at first dropping some bread proceeded to ask us a question which we didnt understand. We know English but it may have been the slang it was asked in and the mention of water. We only wanted to have tea and coffee so we repeated that but to our surprise the waitress replied very sternly said that we initially answered yes to having still or sparkling water. Her tone!! That completely changed the mood for my wife and I as we immediately didn't feel welcomed.. Worse still seeing we were the only Asians there. We kept asking ourselves, is there double standards in this restaurant? We were in a very sour mood and we quickly finished up our tea and coffee and went to pay. They charge €10 service charge for 2ppl mind you. Which made it even harder to stomach the treatment we got. To the establishment if you read this, please train your staff whoever she is that if shes having a bad day, dont take it out on the customer. This may be a single seating for two for you but the experience will be conveyed to our friends and family of how bad the service we got from your waitress. And because it was our last day in Firenze, this would unfortunately go down as one of the last memories...

The view is nice. The food is not special. The only thing that I didn’t like was the service fee. We ordered and got the plates on the table and didn’t request anything else. The waiter didn’t work for us that much. They charged 5 euros per a person as a service fee. Its fixed. Doesn’t matter if you drink a glass of wine for 5 euros value, they charge 5 euros service fee per a person. So you pay that much tip. Our bill was 32 euros and we paid 42 euros. More than 25% tips. Thats not cool. They used the get that kind of questions so when you go to cashier to pay and ask what is this extra 5+5 euros on the bill, they immediately point the service fee on the menu. And it is Italian language :)). Good like tourists :). By the way they don’t bring the bill to you, you should go to pay. They don’t know whats tip means. If you don’t like the service or attitude, you decide what percentage you’d like to pay. You have no that options given to you here. I hope they fix that issue. Other than that it is nice, cool ...

This was a restaurant with a nice view of ponte vecchio which is something the guest pays for. For starters we had some fried zucchini flowers and arancini etc which were ok, but the flowers were not filled. They’re normally filled with some fresh cheese herb mix. We also had some meatballs in tomato sauce. Also fine, but not great (and I love meat balls in tomato sauce in Italy). Then they were out of burrata, which they were replacing with more of other ingredients in the dishes, so I ordered something that didn’t have any burrata in it to begin with, the octopus salad 🤢 It was not ok. The octopus seemed to have a thick layer of slime and to my experience it tasted a bit off. It was in the end no problem replacing the dish when I asked, and the new vegetarian salad was perfectly fine (very nice capers). They have a largish selection of wines by glass and the staff is friendly and service minded, but this was not my best restaurant experience in Florence.
