Pino's Panini in Florence is an absolute standout. We were lucky enough to have Mr. Pino himself prepare our sandwiches on both of our visits. His dedication, care, and passion for his craft are truly evident in every bite. The place gets packet but, the line moves remarkably fast, very efficient and warm service. They have a small yet an elaborate menu that offers a diverse selection of their famous panini sandwiches, pastas and even some sweet treats, ensuring there's something for every craving. And for those with dietary preferences, you'll be pleased to find a large vegan and vegetarian selection on their menu. Our first day in Florence we made sure to visit Pino, and ordered two incredible pesto- turkey panini sandwiches. The freshness and quality of the ingredients, combined with Mr. Pino's genuine hospitality, left a lasting impression. Beyond the exquisite food, they offer a great selection of beverages, including wine, beer, and soft drinks. We enjoyed an Aperol Spritz and a glass of their delicious house red wine with our sandwiches. The ambiance is unique and charming, with college pennants from various universities adorning the walls, reflecting its popularity among students and travelers alike. Adding to its character is its fascinating history, as the current wine shop stands on the site of a 1300s prison. We loved it so much that we returned for our farewell to Florence, savoring an eggplant panini and a pepperoni panini & coffees. Pino's experience is one of the best things I've tried in our trip to Italy & undoubtedly earned a spot on my list of favorite restaurants – it's a truly adorable place that's become a must-visit...
Read moreI had already tried the most famous sandwich place in Florence elsewhere so I was dying to try something different. Pinot sandwiches is really highly rated inappropriately so. This is a family owned and run business and they are so happy to serve you. There’s a line going out the door, but it moved fairly quickly. As soon as you got the front, Pinot himself took your order and started on making your sandwich. They cut up the meat fresh in front of you and then top it off with the toppings and set it to heat. Then you wait for it to be done before paying. The sandwiches in Italy are such a big size that I have a hard time finishing them on my own, but they’re so good that I end up doing so anyways. It’s a great way to eat on the go or take a seat at one of the numerous tables he has inside. There’s also a pretty decent bathroom if you need that. All in all would recommend this over the other sandwich place since I love local family...
Read moreTwas the first of December when we stumbled into this sandwich bar on a cold, wintery afternoon. Frazzled and freezing we gazed around the quaint little sandwich shop to see the large smile of Pino himself, greeting us. Such a great and happy man and an awesome team around him. Next we asked for two “Bomba Ferraris”. We watched Pino, a man of great stature, carving the salami and tomatoes before our very eyes. We watched ravenously and when we had our first bites they were by far the best sandwiches we had had in our over 50 total sandwiches in this Italy trip. The succulence, the spiciness, the crunch of the bread. All to perfection. Props to Pino and the team.
Now the merchandise. We were reflecting on our sandwiches when we thought I wonder if he does merch. We went to Pinos and bought two T-shirts. The quality feels like that of Gucci with the aesthetics of Burberry.
A true unicorn in the Italy sandwich scene.
