I arrived here by suggestion of the receptionist in my hotel after a long day traveling. I checked Google Reviews and I read someone giving 5 stars and saying the lasagna was the best of the city…so I thought…say no more!
However I quickly regretted my decision.
I was very tired from traveling all day from Switzerland by train and I speak (mexican) spanish and I am able to understand italian and interact with basic stuff like greetings, thanks and please, but it feels like the moment I switch to spanish or english out of need, the treatment gets brutally rude.
I only ordered the lasagna and the waiter/owner asked “and what about second course?” And I said “no, only the lasagna please” because my stomach was still numb, but he angrily snatched the menu from my hands, turned around and started walking away and I had to raise my voice to tell him to leave the menu so I could check what else was good and he simply said “no”.
I could have totally ordered something else after the lasagna but I had no idea what else and I was so angry at that point that I didn’t want to bother asking for the menu again.
I was baffled wondering if I did something wrong or rude, even about to cry because I was so tired, but I started reading the lowest reviews of this place and they are all true. The owner needs therapy and to maybe resign and remember what’s like traveling to another country and being treated with decency and kindness. Go touch grass.
The lasagna was actually good but not worth the treatment. I tend to go back to places at least 3 times when I really like them, but they ruined my night and made me feel really uncomfortable. I am actually as angry to the people that...

Pros: Tasty Italian cuisine
Cons: Misleading payment policy Questionable service integrity
Detailed Review:
We were initially attracted to this restaurant by the Visa sticker displayed at the entrance, indicating card payments were accepted. However, when it came time to pay, we encountered an unexpected issue.
The server claimed their card machine wasn't working and insisted on cash payment only. When we pointed out the Visa sticker at the entrance, they reluctantly agreed to "test" the machine. Surprisingly, it worked perfectly on the first try.
This experience left us feeling uncomfortable and misled. It seems this might be a recurring issue, as we later found similar complaints in other reviews.
Advice to future diners: Be prepared for potential payment issues. If you encounter a similar situation, don't hesitate to assert your right to pay by card if it's advertised.
To the management: Please ensure your payment policies are clear and consistently applied. The discrepancy between advertised and actual payment options is unprofessional and damages customer trust.
In conclusion, while the food was enjoyable, the payment incident significantly dampened our overall experience, leaving us with a sour taste as we left...
Read moreOur party were greatly disappointed with an inflexible and irritable waiter serving us. A last minute change of 12 to 14 guests jammed their poor brains figuring out how to accommodate a scant 2 extra guests which led to a sour face by the waiter.
When the bill came, we were charged 30% for the service fees, which when confronted, the same waiter admitted it was a mistake. Funny thing was said waiter told us he prefered to have the bill paid in cash, when it was clearly advertised they accepted visa. Methinks the owner should look into the conduct of his staff, it was suspicious behaviour and led us to believe someone there may be looking for extra "tips". Perhaps this poor fellow thought we wouldn't notice extra charges in the bill due to the amount of diners. Mind you, our total bill was EUR900. Needless to say, this place was a severe blight in our trip to contribute a little bit to the local tourism industry. What an utter disgrace by the employee of this restaurant, mistake or otherwise.
Anyways, save yourselves the trouble. The food was edible but so are many other places, it's Italy after all.
