The reviews are interesting. I originally thought this place must be good because of the location and loads of good reviews.

I was wrong…

Unfortunately the food was very bad. Really our ONLY experience of bad food in the Florence area. The pasta was undercooked and the risotto was as well.

Our appetizers and soups were either over salted or just meh 🫤

We had ordered several dishes, just in case some did not turn out well, but to our surprise they all did. Also over salted on every dish.

It also was not inexpensive as our dinner bill was 100+ euro

Maybe it was an off night for them.

Maybe the chef was new.

O had an absolutely amazing experience at Osteria La Latteria. The food was nothing short of exceptiona, every dish was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. From start to finish, everything we tried was delicious. On top of that, the service was outstanding. Our waitress was extremely nice, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. I really like the room and the manager/server was very friendly.

Unfortunately the food just wasn't that great, it was my first meal in florence and I was really looking forward to it, and I just found it average. Not bad, but also not good.

The boar could have been a bit more tender, and I didn't find the flavour of the sauce to be very balanced, the juniper was pretty overwhelming in some bites and it didn't have much depth of flavour. The fried artichokes were pretty good and seasoned well, but the pasta I only ate half, and wanted to save room for better...
