Without doubtthe most rudest and pathetic experience I've ever had at a restaurant. A friend of one of us had advised to visit here. We arrive at around 8:30 with a party of 4.W waited 45 minutes without anyone taking a single notice of us, even letting in others who arrived after us. Finally a young man at the bar asked if he could help us, after we responded he talked to what looked like a man charge, short grey hair with sour look on his face. We visibly saw the young man go over to ask if they had room for us, to see this horrible man say "No!" In an aggtessive manner. So then my lovely Canadian friend made a reservation for 9:30pm the next day. As we walked past the second window we saw plenyy of free tables!

The next night, we arrived all dressed up, having walked across half the city to get there, only for the management there to tell my Canadian friend theres no record of our reservation then tried to completely ignore her for 20 mins until I arrived! I had to angrily knock on the door until a woman came over and tell her how disgraceful this was and say how upset I was. Then SURPRISE! After I made a scene, they magically had a table, with the woman saying "I don't want you to be upset so we have a table"

As we walk over to our table a coulple of locals tell us to be careful that the cooks might spit in our food. We were death stared the whole night by the revolting man with the short grey hair who had snubbed us the night before. The food itself was average at best. The only positive was the lovely old whiter haired waiter with a moustache who tried to be warm to us to make up for the treatment, who I tipped at the end.

Undoubtedly the most pretentious, pathetic, rude, disgusting service I've had the misfortune to experience at a restaurant in my whole life. The owners should be ashamed, and that pathetic childish man with the short grey hair should be fired by the owner, he is a disgrace to Florence.

Don't give these vulgar...

This was the most disappointing experience I had ever had! We made a reservation and we arrived 10 minutes before the arranged time. As a persons who works as culinary concept developer in Switzerland I would like to comment this next points: Welcoming- not existent. I had to go and ask the cashier if they have our table ready. She totally ignored me. The young guy preparing desserts helped me out and sayed I should wait a bit, our table would be ready in just a minute. Sitting- terrible! Even though we had a reservation, other people that came after us were sitted. I have to mention that the other persons had no reservation, they just happened to know the persons who was in charge of sitting. Personal: very unpolite! After waiting for around 30 min. having plenty of free ready tables in front of us, a very nice old man told us our table was ready and we should go at the lady in charge of sitting. Again total ignore from her side! The table indicated wasn’t ready at all and we were just sitting next to a table that was full of empty glasses and dirty disches. We decided to leave immediately!Very rude and unprofessional. For a restaurant with such a name this is unacceptable ! Athmosphere: crowded Food: unfortunately I wasn’t given the chance to enjoy it. Suggestions: a) Get another extra person who should take care of the welcoming and waiting clients. b)Make a list with who is coming first and reservations. c) treat persons correctly and make no favors! Business is business! d) make a nice waiting corner outside the restaurant with cocktail tables were people can wait. Offer them something to drink from the house and appolagise for the long waiting time. (This is a win win situation for you and your business, for the clients who are already in the restaurant, for the waiting clients and for your name as one of the best restaurants in Florence) I wouldn’t recommend this...

My family and I came right when it opened. We didnt have any reservations, but the manager was super nice about it and tried to seat us. However, after talking to one of the other employees, we were pushed to sit at the corner of the restaurant instead where we were covered by other people. There were people who were besides us who actually had a reservation, but they were treated with the most upmost respect and courtesy. After taking our order, the waiter did not check up on us at all and whenever he came to the tables around us, he would avoid looking in our direction. We tried for 10 minutes to ask him for a check and we couldn't get his attention after he was in the area 5 different times. We finally asked for a check when he came to collect the dishes but he gave a judgmental look before leaving. The family seated next to us were checked up on every 5 minutes and the same waiter had a good conversation and tried to entertain the guests compared to us where we felt shunned. The food was bland and the portions were small in comparison to the price that was paid. The amount of positive reviews left for this place is astonishing. We had a beef dish, pasta, pork, and chicken dish and they were all equally bad. We were recommended this restaurant but maybe that person just hates us. I've had far better dishes for cheaper around florence and italy. The atmosphere made us feel unwanted and tense. It made us nauseous being there as if we didn't belong. We were cramped in the corner as people were seated around us. They didn't have any air conditioning on even though there was an air conditioner in front of us. Felt...

This place should honestly be renamed Air Florence — because dining here feels like being stuck on a budget airline. The food is both overpriced and utterly bland. For starters, they serve breadsticks wrapped in those cheap, crinkly plastic wrappers — the kind you’d get on a low-cost flight. Not even a pretense of rustic charm or presentation. Just plastic and disappointment. The layout is pure chaos. Tables are so tightly packed you could bump elbows with the stranger next to you and accidentally end up in their date. The aisle is so narrow the servers squeeze past like cabin crew in turbulence. Our table was barely 10cm away from the next, so we basically joined their conversation — whether we liked it or not. Zero privacy, zero comfort. The table itself? Absolutely tiny — more like a fold-out tray from an airplane seat than an actual dining surface. Good luck trying to fit more than two dishes on it without stacking. And the food, sadly, is not worth the Tetris effort. It’s just not good — bland, uninspired, and forgettable. I genuinely don’t understand the hype. Maybe people are mistaking the cramped chaos for energy and the inflated prices for quality, but for me, this was one of the most overrated dining experiences in Florence. There are so many better places in the city — skip the frenzy, and save yourself the disappointment.

I’m appalled by the dissonance between my opinion and the numerous positive reviews of this restaurant. This was among the worst pasta I’ve had during my time here in Italy and it’s not even close. I couldn’t enjoy a single dish here: the burrata was not fresh or creamy and the anchioves were an odd choice, the crème brûlée pecorino was a good idea but poorly executed as the cheese was cold and not very melted. For the pastas, there was no sauce, just meat placed on top of pasta with no attempt to make a cohesive dish. I simply cannot believe these noodles are handmade, they truly are below any pasta I’ve had elsewhere across Florence. The chew of the bite was not al dente, the pasta itself was underseasoned. It honestly tasted like a pre made frozen pasta dinner you could buy at a grocery store. Apart from the food itself even the ambiance turned us away. The tables were so close to each other and the restaurant felt very cramped. The line outside the restaurant was upset we cut them to talk to the staff to seat us for our assigned reservation. Despite the many reviews online praising this restaurant, I highly discourage anyone from attending this place. I only hope the non pasta dishes are better.

Long time comment reader first time commenter. Tears of happiness. I can tell you right now that any vote below 4 stars was due to an unlucky inconsistency or the waiter not liking you and having his buddies in the kitchen expose his feelings through their cooking. Remember this is Italy not Japan, meaning that respect is a two way street in Italy, as opposed to Japan where no matter how "rude" you are, you are still treated with respect aka the chefs have your back. We read about this restaurant from the book “Where Chefs Eat”. My wife and I ordered the tomato mozzarella "caprese" 5/5 and beef Carpaccio 4/5 and the fish Carpaccio 3/5 for starters. I had the off-menu veal escalope with mushroom cream sauce 99/5! and my wife had the pasta botterga 4/5 for our mains, and we finished off with a tiramisu 3.5/5 each. Total bill was around 180 Euros with 1 glass of wine each. My tears mentioned earlier is purely due to the veal dish. People, there is a gem in Florence and it’s called Trattoria Cammillo. I've been going to Italy and France every summer since I was a child and to discover this now is quite emotional for me lol. hence this comment! Enjoy!
