After Limoncello-ing ourselves silly throughout Italy we really wanted to find Meloncello late one night. We happened to be walking by the Yellow Bar window on the back to our hotel at the exact moment a group of people seated at the window table raised little glasses full of meloncello to toast each other. Okay! This was a sign. We went in to confirm it was, in fact Meloncello...told the server that's all we wanted and he seated us. He brought over Meloncello Spritzes...which we didn't want...and tried to convince us they were really good and we should have them. That's cool, but it was many hours past spritz-o'clock in Italy and we just wanted the shots, just like they had at the other table. He looked a little disappointed as he took the spritzes away, but did come back with our 2 little glasses of meloncello. We were happy to have them though they weren't as cold as they should have been. (Everything in the -cello family should be served from the freezer.)

Although we didn't have any food, we glanced at the menu. There were many choices here, especially in the pizza category, and much of their food (according to the menu) is organic.

If we were back in Florence, we'd definitely come back to give...

Was there today Thursday February 7th.

Our taxi driver took us from Piazza de Michelangelo to downtown, he recommended the place and dropped us off at the door.

We were first greeted by an older gentleman Santo I believe his name was o Santi. I apologize for not remembering properly.

He showed me personally where they make their pasta fresca, we talked about how the ingredients are all organic, local, handmade and how they use original antique grains to make the flour, we talked about the capellini and spaghetto and tagliatelle.

He was very kind to start us on the house with a delicious flat bread from antiche grain flour drizzled in olio de oliva.

We ordered the melaneze a la parmigianna it was very fresh and delicious and also the tagliatelle al pomodoro e basilo, we also had fresh squeezed lemon juice for a refreshing soda sam Pellegrino with the juice and a crisp pinot grigio. We also had fresh pomodoro with basilico e olivo de oliva to start and was made to order without question.

We finished off with the check only to be very kindly offered a limoncello on the house by one of the gorgeous servers attending the place.

Highly...

Our first day of our vacation in Italy was a busy one. As such we were looking for a relatively relaxed environment with a comfortable atmosphere and excellent food.

Arriving around 7pm we were sat immediately. This was impressive as we were a group of six without a reservation, and we had expected to wait for a table.

Immediately after being seated we were greeted by our wonderful waitress Gemma. Her English was excellent making ordering our food and wine very easy and stress free. Our pizzas came within 10-15 minutes and everyone was very satisfied with the quality of these delicious wood fired pizzas.

I want to highlight again how incredibly wonderful the service was from Gemma. She was patient, funny, and made us all feel very comfortable and attended to. She stopped by our table multiple times to share a quick laugh or smile, and made an extra effort to make our evening memorable ;). Thanks again Gemma! The service you delivered made our evening and some of our guests first meal in Italy very memorable.

I would 100% revisit and recommend Gemma...
