Yummy Sri Lanka — Restaurant in Florence

I ordered prawns fried rice. Order came very quickly. No way it was cooked for me upon my rquest. Rice was dry as if it was old and reheated. Peeling the prawns was difficult which means they are frozen at best, and possibly cooked and reheated several times.

The whole place does not give a vibe of being clean, popular, and Lively. In April 2025, The photos on google are nothing like the real place. The real place looks like a slum restaurant in india.

I went in because the rating (on google maps) at the time was 4.7 but I noticed later that it was rated by only 30 people. I rate it 2/5 at best. Cleanliness is 3 out of 10 at best. Service was quick because the place was empty. The lady that brought me the food was sniffing with a runny nose.

Upside: cheap and quick

Next day Update: I am sick now with fever, sore throat and general pain. the cause is highly likely to be this place. I regret this experience. This has ruined my short trip...

Arguably the best spot to eat in Florence.

Me and my partner were getting sick of pizza and pasta and fancied something different. Our hotel was only around the corner and I couldn't recommend this place enough. Cheap, delicous and massive portion sizes.
