OMG, THE SLICED BEEF! 🥰 Reco'd by a friend, we went 4 pax and ordered 3 pastas + 1 sliced beef. The pastas were great (vongole, something with tomato, red prawn pasta) but the sliced beef was so incredible we had to get one more just to share. And this is after all of us already had our own main course. Beef thinly sliced, marbled with fat, cooked pink and tender, served piping hot. Tasted salty, peppery and fragrant from the rosemary. We only have 3 nights in Milan but will be going back the second time tomorrow! [UPDATE after second visit] Came back for the sliced beef. Ordered two plates showing the photo of the doneness that we loved from last time. Both came too cooked; my dad could eat it so the resto offered to re-cook one so that it's more rare. To our surprise, the new plate came back even more cooked. I was so confused. We showed them the photo once again saying this was how it was done last time. The manager said "You cannot expect the same as yesterday. This is a different part of the beef and this is already very rare," pointing to the beef that was cooked till white and brown. Why did they use a different cut of beef? We told them that we cannot eat medium-well beef, sent it back and said we will still pay for it. They were accommodating enough not to have charged for both the beef which was appreciated. However, I cannot recommend this place so much anymore for its lack of consistency.

This is one of the best pasta I ever had in my life, so far. This place was recommended to me by one of my colleague so my friend and I were pretty excited to try it out while we were in Milan. We decided to go one evening for dinner. The staffs were nice and friendly. I am a pretty picky eater and there are certain things I don't eat so I asked if I can have the spaghetti with shrimps only. And the staff said it was doable. I was glad to hear that. We enjoyed the food very much. it was the first meal during in my trip in Milan that I was able finish completely. When we were almost done with our meal, the server who was serving us asked if we wanted to have dessert but we were already full. so we said no. It seems like he didn't like that we didn't want to order more dishes, and he didn't see that friendly afterward. When I looked at the bill, it seemed like they overcharged my dish also. But I didn't say anything. Overall I liked the place and enjoyed the food. I recommend it and would go back there for the food again. hope next time they won't turn gloomy if we turn down on dessert. >_< or we might even order it.

Bice Restaurant is located in Milan's fashion district steps away from the Four Seasons Hotel, headquarters of the fashion elite during Fashion Week. The restaurant (which is frequented by celebrities) is small and intimate with beautiful art on the walls and fresh flowers, creating an inviting, warm environment. Iconic Jazz and Blues music by Ella Fitzgerald, Louie Armstrong, Billie Holiday and Mile's Davis is played softly in the background during your meal. Service is excellent and the food is delicious. We shared a delicious Saffron Risotto (one of the best Milanese Risottos we have had, if not the best); delicious Spaghetti Vongole with a perfect balance of spaghetti to clams, Veal Colleta with Cherry Tomatoes and Arugula and homemade Ricotta Ravioli in a Lemon Cream Sauce. We paired this meal with two bottles of Gaja's, Gaia and Rey This is the best meal we have had in Northern Italy. Italian-born chef Vinzenso Mallone's expert preparation of Italian food at Bice Milan puts Massimo Bottura to shame. Highly recommended. Reservations required.

We had a reservation for two persons for Sunday 19 February 2023 at 20:30 (reserved through TheFork apl). We arrived at 20:25 and provided the two ladies at reception with the reservation details and were kindly asked to wait. At the same time, two ladies with no reservation at all were also told to wait outside in case a table for them became available. Between 20:30 and 21:05, four other groups of people arrived (1 Italian-speaking family of 4, 1 group of 3 German-speaking couples, 1 group of 4 Italian-speaking ladies and 1 group of 2 English-speaking ladies). Their reservations were for 20:45. They were kindly asked to wait behind us and were also asked if they wanted to leave their coats and order drinks while they waites (we were offered neither of those two options). After 10 minutes of waiting, the 2 larger groups became impatient and rather impolitely demanded their tables to become available and were promptly accepted inside (we were the group who remained calm, composed and polite during thise 35-minute wait). In the meantime, the two ladies without a reservation were also let through, leaving us as the only group still waiting outside in the cold, even though we had arrived first (at 20:25). At 21:05 we asked for a status update again, only to be told “your table is not ready yet). We decided to leave after kindly asking the one of the two ladies at reception to cancel our reservation. The cherry on top was that 2 hours later, we received notifications from TheFork app indicating our reservation was a “no-show”, thus costing us review points and credibility among other things, eg our dignity. This brutissima experience completely destroyed our night and our mood. It’s a true shame that some individuals are allowed to operate in this manner, completely shattering the collective effort made by the kitchen staff, the waiters, and all other stakeholders to provide a memorable experience to patrons. This one will definitely be memorable, albeit for the wrong reasons....
