I had high expectations for Come Na Vorta, but unfortunately, I was deeply disappointed by the service. From the moment we arrived, the experience was frustrating. The host was rude and disorganized — she made us wait outside without keeping track of who was next in line, resulting in people who arrived after us being seated before us.
When it was finally our turn, she didn’t offer a greeting or a smile — she simply pointed at the table and tossed the menus at us. We then waited over 15 minutes before a waiter came to take our order, without even a basic “How are you?”. The lack of hospitality was evident.
We ordered two Hugo Spritz, which by definition are made with Saint Germain and Prosecco. What we received was a bright green drink with coloring, completely different from the traditional recipe. When we politely asked if we could change the drinks because we didn’t like them, the waiter got defensive and told us that “this is how the drink is here.” If a restaurant chooses to use non-standard ingredients, this should at least be clearly stated in the menu so customers know what to expect.
Even if the restaurant doesn’t allow substitutions, a bit of courtesy and assertiveness goes a long way. We told him that was fine and ordered two Aperol Spritz instead, which we were willing to pay for. After another 10-15 minutes, he brought the new drinks and falsely claimed he had changed them for us — when in fact, they were charged.
To top it off, the bathroom was dirty. The food itself was fresh and tasty, but sadly, that was not enough to compensate for the poor treatment and lack of customer care. I would not return, nor would I recommend this place. Hospitality matters, and here, it was...
Read moreActually, we went there because the 3 other restaurants we planned to visit were fully booked or closed at that time (7 PM) and we were starving. First, the smell inside the restaurant is not good. It is not a food smell but there an unpleasant smell. The staff was not that much attentive during ordering, requesting the bill or even when I express my opinion in one of the dishes. You feel like "yeah.. We heard your concern and we will cascade it" but you are sure that he/she throw it once she switch his/her face to other side. We requested fittutccini with tomato sauce, spaghetti with pesto sauce and potato chips with cheese and pepper. Fittutccini was medium but we ate many better before even outside whole Italy. The tomato pieces is not cherry and the taste is very weak. The Spaghetti with pesto was awful. Too much oilly and so salty. I don't know this because of salt or too much cheese. Potato chips was medium. The price is very high espcially if you compare it with the quality or other restaurants we tried in Milan or Rome. The one pasta dish is 12.9 Euro. Small chips is 8.9 Euro. "Tap water" equal 2.5 Euro. And finally 3 Euro as fees to use the table, cutlery and other things as they said when...
Read moreA fantastic experience. On Come ‘Na Vorta’s menu, they encourage you to not feel rushed despite their impeccably quick service. Take your time and enjoy your meal. I wanted a traditional Carbonara to finish off my Italy trip and it was one of the best I’ve had on my entire trip through Italy. Incredibly creamy and flavorful. Fantastic all around. The guanciale was crispy yet malleable, which was fantastic and complimentary to their house made pasta that you can see them making in the ristorante. My wife had the lasagna, which also was fantastic and had a mother’s kitchen feel. I had the meatball and Cacio e Pepe sauce as my second dish and it was also fantastic. A great blend of pecorino, salt and pepper. Not overpowering but the perfect blend of all three. I recommend anyone to go here if you can. The wait was not long and well worth it. I pray some tik tok influencer does not come and ruin this place and the experience as they have some other formerly prestigious Milanese ristorantes. Thank you so much Come ‘Na Vorte and staff for a wonderful experience. If you are considering eating here, it is an absolute no...
