Going to start this review by saying I will definitely be back. Unfortunately I took no pictures because I was so hungry that I just devoured the food! For a drink and their VERY extensive buffet it is eleven E with subsequent drinks being seven E. However, they have a variety of “large drink” deals for beer and mixed drinks like spritz and Moscow mule. A liter Moscow mule was twelve E!
As I said, the buffet is extensive. You get new plates and silverware every time you go up (woo hygiene!) and servers will put the food on your plate. You point to what you want and you can get up to 3 different dishes at once. There are other servers that come around to your table with large/popular dishes so you don’t even have to get up! You can go as many times as you want to the Buffett between 1800-2300.
The food is honestly pretty good. I did think it was a bit salty but my sentiment was not shared by the rest of the group of 8. You have dishes like seafood pasta, pork nuggets, French fries, pot roast, chicken and potatoes, pesto pasta, bruschetta, sandwiches, fried tomatoes, meat skewers, tiramisu, and fruit. And those are just some of the options, there were many others!
The server will ask you to pay immediately before you go up, I am finding this is pretty common. Cash and card are accepted, cards are processed inside and the server will take cash at the table or give you change. English is pretty decent so ordering and being served was not a problem. Reservations for large parties are a must as the restaurant was filled by 2100.
Edit: Downgraded this place from 5 to 4 stars. I went back and honestly had some of the rudest service that I've had in Italy/Milan. We were a table of 10, who had made reservations, which were clearly ignored because they had no seats for us. So they put us in the back corner of the restaurant, which is fine. However, we got no menus and had to flag down a server after 20 minutes. The server came over, threw down some menus, and immediately asked if we were ready. Some people had never been there before and even though 9/10 of us gave him our order, instead of starting the payment process, he slapped the ticket on the table and told us to "find him when we were ready". If he had waited 30 seconds the last girl could've picked out her drink and we would've been good to go. The second waiter was incredibly nice, so much nicer than the other 2 that I actually ended up tipping him at the end of the night. The third waiter was fine in the beginning, but as we continued to sit there (no more than 2 hours which is fairly standard for aperitivo) she became more and more hostile. At one point, even though there was blaring music in the background, she told our group "you are being too loud" and then huffed away. I reiterate, we were in the far corner of the restaurant with nothing more than one other table of 6 beside us. As well, does a place that serves twelve E Liter moscow mules never get "loud" people? It honestly left a really bad taste in my mouth and I'm not sure I'll be back. It's a good aperitivo, yes, but there are also plenty to go to in Milan where you don't get yelled at after spending, collectively, 100 Euro...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at La Hora Feliz in Milano, and I was thoroughly impressed with the experience. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the lively atmosphere and the diverse array of food and drink options available.
The menu at La Hora Feliz is truly diverse, with a wide range of foods and drinks to choose from. I was particularly impressed with the selection of cocktails, which were expertly crafted and delicious. The food was also top-notch, with a variety of dishes that were all cooked to perfection.
One of the standout features of La Hora Feliz is the happy hour, which offers an all-you-can-eat package with the purchase of a cocktail. This is an incredible deal, and it's the perfect way to try a variety of different dishes and drinks. The prices for additional cocktails during happy hour are also very reasonable, making it easy to enjoy a night out without breaking the bank.
Overall, I highly recommend La Hora Feliz for anyone looking for a fun, affordable, and delicious dining experience in Milano. Whether you're in the mood for a quick drink or a full meal, this restaurant has something...
Read moreI randomly stumbled upon this place while looking for another. The other place, which was pretty close, was not as impressive, so I thought why not check this place out. I was not disappointed. The server, Victor I think his name was, was very nice. The antipasto was very impressive, with so many dishes to choose from. I would say at least 25-30 dishes and some cheese and meat. If you are vegetarian and/or pescaterian there are plenty of options. In addition, they come by every so often with dishes. They had a really good linguini de mare they passed out. Variety includes: pastas, salads, rice, salmon, potatoes, roasted veggies, fruit, cheese, deli meats and sandwiches. It was all really good. For 11 euros, why would you miss this?! A drink and free food for that much, that's a steal. I will say, they do accept credit cards but not American Express. The server was nice enough to let me go grab money from the bank and come back, which I did. The aperativo started at 5pm and ends at 11 pm. It's close enough to main things yet kind of secluded. The area around it is also cute....
