Where to begin…. You are greeted by a kind face. Then your staff has been here for 4 months from Argentina, with her breasts peeking through her buttoned blouse and a camel toe at your eyes. You’re served champagne, feeling delighted at the thoughtful introduction, and unexpectedly charged 42 euro per glass. Onto the wine selection, you excitedly order an Orange wine and instructed to taste what literally tastes like prison toilet wine with scents of well aged plumbing. Next, the food. We chose to go with the 11 rating dishes, specifically crafted by the Michelin chef to induce anorexia. I would say the theme of the night would be uncooked white. 95% of the food was bland, white and tasteless. It was an extreme physical undertaking to swallow what food was even edible. “The octopus is uncooked and tastes as such”. Most dishes, one bite was more than plenty to turn your stomach, followed by gulping down 35 euro Perrier. The risotto quite possibly could have been vomit in a bowl disguised with garnish, for the acidic inedible flavor it had. Probably the worst food of any restaurant I’ve been to, Michelin or not. They will overcharge you swill wine and charge a convenience fee for sitting in their chairs. Now let’s address the staff. Let me start with a quote “… and this dish was topped with fish flakes” - server walks inside and announces he just made it up because he didn’t actually know. The main server would take our unfinished plates and proceed to make fun of us in front of a giant plate glass window to other staff while we could see her. The staff has ZERO tact and shouldn’t be in a public facing job for the treatment we received. I would recommend you never ever visit this establishment unless you want to leave insulted, nauseated and all around horrified. Pick any other restaurant and it will blow the “crack house” out of the water or just light your money on fire. I feared actually vomiting afterwards, terrified to have to taste the meal...
Read moreI had the privilege of dining at Cracco, and I must say that the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with a warm and professional welcome that set the tone for the evening. The ambiance is sophisticated yet inviting, blending modern design with a comfortable atmosphere. The staff is incredibly attentive, without being overbearing, and their knowledge of the menu and wine pairings is remarkable.
As for the food, it was truly a feast for the senses. Each dish was a masterpiece, carefully crafted with the finest ingredients. The tasting menu was an exciting journey of flavors, each plate beautifully presented with an attention to detail that reflected the culinary expertise of the kitchen. The standout dishes for me were the risotto with truffle and the tartare of beef, which were both rich in flavor and exquisitely prepared.
The wine list is extensive and perfectly curated, with a range of options to complement every course. The sommelier was a true professional, guiding us through the wine choices with great care and helping us select the perfect pairing for each dish.
What impressed me most, however, was the creativity and innovation behind every dish. Chef Cracco’s unique approach to modern Italian cuisine shines through in every bite, offering a contemporary twist on traditional flavors. It’s clear that every detail is meticulously thought out, from the presentation to the combination of textures and flavors.
Dessert was the perfect way to end the meal, with a delightful chocolate soufflé that was rich yet balanced, and an infusion of citrus that left a refreshing note to close the experience.
Cracco is not just a restaurant; it’s an experience. From the service to the food, everything is of the highest standard, and I left feeling not only satisfied but thoroughly impressed. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly memorable dining...

We had high hopes for this 1 star restaurant experience located in the idillic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. The location and the setting were perfect with views into the Galleria from our table, exquisite furnishings and elaborately decorated rooms.
The evening started with us selecting the tasting menu and a cocktail to start. As soon as it arrived to the table, service went down from here. Within 10 minutes of the cocktail arriving we were harassed 7 times by staff to make a choice for the wine. A catalog of wine, comparable to the King James Bible arrived at the table with no clear explanation or suggestion from the staff.
Before we even made a selection for the wine the first greeting from kitchen arrived. Service accelerated at this point to Mach force 1. Within minutes of the first dishes touching the table, the second course was already arriving. Feeling rushed we asked the staff to slow down service.
It did not.
Course after course of bland, lifeless food arrived comparable to a sad post war food stamp dinner.
There was a spark of hope with a pasta dish that finally felt like the kitchen had woken up but sadly it was an exception to their rule of tastebud neutrality.
One of the highlights, if you will, of the menu was plain ricotta on a plate with microscopic slices of pear. The ricotta was most likely made in house because it too lacked any sort of flavour and was truly a disappointment. It’s clear to say we did not finish that course.
The staff, now aware we were not happy with the menu, tried their best to offer an alternative but the damage was done. Then dessert came next, we had enough. We asked for the bill and wanted to leave.
Technically the dishes were presented as one would expect for a dinning establishment of this calibre, what lacked...
