My husband and I stayed for five nights at The Glamore. When we arrived, our taxi couldn’t drop us off directly at the hotel because of nearby construction, so we were left around the corner at the Park Hyatt. The bellhop there tried to contact someone from our hotel to assist with the luggage, but no one responded. Thankfully, the Park Hyatt staff kindly helped us bring our luggage over—a gesture that truly stood out, though it wasn’t from The Glamore. The hotel’s location is excellent, but unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. Calling this property a 5-star hotel is, in my opinion, quite a stretch. The front desk is tucked away on the third floor in what feels like a small, sparse space. The check-in process was confusing and disorganized. I had sent several emails prior to our arrival that were either ignored or misunderstood, and none of that correspondence seemed to be acknowledged when we checked in. Our room itself was clean and nicely decorated, but the amenities were lacking. Only two small towels and two bath towels were provided—hardly sufficient, especially for someone with long hair who needs an extra towel. There were no robes in the room (a standard in any true 5-star property). After requesting one, it was brought to our room, but oddly, it was taken away while we were out at dinner without any explanation. The following day, I requested another robe, but none was ever delivered. Accessing our room on the fifth floor required walking through the restaurant, which was really awkward and unusual to say the least. When we checked out, my husband brought the luggage down but had to return upstairs for the rest because there was no bellhop available to assist. There was also no phone near the area to call for help. Overall, the service did not reflect the price or the supposed 5-star rating. The staff lacked attentiveness and warmth, and we never felt like valued guests. It was a disappointing experience, especially given how many excellent hotels are nearby. We will be staying...
Read moreWe stayed at The Glamore Milano Duomo and walked away with very mixed feelings. The junior suite was modern, spacious, and nicely designed—with a good bed (though not quite 5-star quality), great wardrobe space, and a clean bathroom. The view of Piazza del Duomo was incredible, and soundproofing from the busy square worked well. The location is unbeatable, with direct access to the Galleria and the Piazza.
However, the hotel doesn’t function like a proper full-service hotel. There’s just a tiny reception, no real hotel amenities, and no dedicated room service—plus, when you do order, it’s extremely overpriced (€30 for a pizza). One bright spot was the helpful Filipino staff, who were friendly and welcoming.
On the downside, privacy is an issue—you’ll hear noise from neighboring rooms, and to reach yours, you have to cross through the rooftop bar and restaurant, sharing an elevator with non-guests. It really doesn’t feel like a private hotel experience.
And a final detail that matters: getting an Uber is tricky. Drivers won’t come to the back street entrance, so you’ll likely have to walk around 300 meters with your luggage to meet them elsewhere. For the high price, you're mostly paying for the view—not for a seamless,...
Read moreWe loved staying at the Glamore Hotel! The staff were incredibly kind and took care of all our requests. The concierge made dinner reservations for us both nights we stayed. These restaurants were fantastic. I am not sure if the concierge had anything to do with it, but both restaurants gave us special treatment which was wonderful. The hotel just recently opened for business. It is a historic building 100’s of years old being remodeled. So it was a very unique and a special experience. Our accommodations were modern, upscale, comfortable, and very spacious. ||So much to see and do! First of all, you cannot beat the location. It is centrally located within walking distance to ALL the major attractions including right next to the Doumo di Milano. In fact, we had the most incredible view from our hotel balcony of the Doumo and the city square. Our “historic Milano walking tour” ended at the Glamore Hotel’s city square—so convenient for us! The two nights we stayed, there was one or two street performers singing beautiful music in the square in the evening. There are also numerous restaurants and luxury shopping literally just outside the...
