Tucked into a cozy corner of Milan’s Barona neighborhood, Old Fox Pub rescued us from the soggy rain and felt like stepping into a sepia-toned postcard. With its ornate wallpaper, golden taps, and deep wood paneling, the place had the warmth of a grandfather’s library—and the spirit selection of a seasoned bartender’s dream. Shelves brimmed with Italian icons: Cynar, Ramazzotti, Braulio.

Old Fox Pub was okay, service was quite slow and a couple of the staff members were rude and only interacted with the regulars. The bar tender allowed others to push in if they had beer poker chips, which I thought was unreasonable especially after my brother and I accommodated another table to take our one as requested by the staff member who was later rude to us and just dumped our food and, drink on the table. I wouldn't go out of my way to go to this pub, you wouldn't miss it. PESSIMO, AWFUL! NON ANDATECI ASSOLUTAMENTE! Premessa: sono stato con amici due sere fa: abbiamo aspettato circa 1 ora prima di prenotare perché nessuno si è degnato neanche di avvicinarsi al tavolo, abbiamo quindi dovuto poi alzarci noi per andare a chiamare qualcuno. Abbiamo chiesto degli hamburger e il cameriere ci ha risposto che la cucina fosse chiusa. A quel punto abbiamo optato per delle patatine, che ci sono arrivate dopo circa 40 minuti!! Abbiamo richiesto due fette di torta e lo stesso cameriere ci ha detto che non ci fossero neanche quelle. Nel mentre vedevamo altri piatti caldi e hamburger che uscivano dalla cucina, non capivamo dunque perché ci avessero raccontato una falsità. Alla richiesta di chiarimenti il cameriere ha alzato la voce è ci ha inveito contro. Ha chiamato il proprietario che dal bancone è venuto da noi facendoci anche il gesto di uscire fuori a parlarne, quasi per intimarci/minacciarci. Ha iniziato a trovare scuse assurde (come che la cucina avesse avuto un problema, quando invece ci passavano letteralmente hamburger e altri piatti davanti a noi pochi minuti dopo che ci avessero detto che fosse chiusa. In più ci ha detto che il cameriere fosse lì da due giorni, e ancora oggi non capisco come questo dovrebbe giustificare la sua maleducazione e il suo dirci che la cucina fosse chiusa quando letteralmente due minuti dopo stava già portando piatti caldi ad altri tavoli) e a risponderci in malomodo. Prezzi tra l’altro alti per la qualità (assente) del locale e del personale. Altri ragazzi sono venuti poi a parlare con noi, dandoci ovviamente ragione e dicendoci che anche loro odiavano il servizio e il cibo lì e ci andavano solo per la tv, optando per altri posti in cui mangiare prima. Quindi è un’opinione comune. Sono nato e vissuto a Milano e qualcosa di così scadente non l’ho mai incontrato in vita mia.
