Incredibly rude staff, also you can get the same pastries elsewhere with a smile and leave with a lot more change.
The lady with the glasses was awful (hoping they read). The city is obviously full of tourists, I did my best with the little Italian I know, everyone else in the city was really kind, but she just kept speaking to me in 1. Like I was unworthy of being there as I didn't speak Italian 2. Asking what I wanted, but there are no names/flavours on their pastries/sweets items in the cabinet....so how am I meant to tell you? Its ridiculous, if the items were named I would have read out the Italian name.

Read moreUnfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience at Pasticceria San Carlo. The woman behind the pastry counter was extremely rude to my wife. She spoke in a harsh and unfriendly tone and showed no effort to communicate or assist — even though my wife spoke politely in English.
Instead of helping, she seemed irritated by our presence and responded with an aggressive “ciao” as we left, in a very dismissive and unfriendly manner.
For a place that receives international visitors, we expected at least a minimum level of courtesy and professionalism. We will definitely not be returning and cannot recommend...

Pastries were very good not to say excellent. I don't understand previous comments saying it's not good, disgusting, overpriced, etc.
I've tried their Tiramisu, cheesecake and custard, everything was perfect, well balanced, not too sweet. Yes it's, if I well remember, 6-8€ for each dessert in Glass, but for this quality, it's a very fair price. And, on top of that, the staff in this boutique is very smiley and friendly.
