One star because I select 0. Worst service in Milan. I've worked as a server, bartender, waitress for years, I know the job and how it real is and the pain some costumers can be, I've been there and my review doesn't come from a picky costumer because I am not. But this was the worst service we found in Milan, and our experience with the service at restaurants in Milan was really poor, but this one won. The two servers were just walking past us doing nothing and it took them 20 minuts to come to us, just because I called one of them and asked if it was possible to order. He seemed super annoyed and bothered to take our order, he didn't even answer me, just stared at us waiting for us to talk, not even a Hello. My mom was scared to asked for Oat Milk for his coffee because she didn't want the server to snap at her. I could tell all the other outside tables were served, there was no need to clean more tables, and us an another table were just there waiting in the sun waiting for one of them to notice us. We didn't even have a menu. Extremely poor service, even if you try to be this rude, I bet you can match it...
Read moreThis was day 2 of our vacation. We visited this place after viewing The Last Supper across the street. We had used the restroom here earlier and felt compelled to return the favor with our patronage. We ended up giving this place a thumbs down and a thumbs up. My wife had the risotto, and I had the ravioli. After we got our order, mine was still ice cold on the bottom. How is that possible? Is the food microwave frozen food? I told the waiter and he quickly placed my plate in the microwave to finish the reheating process. You could tell he was really put out by it. How embarrassing. After this, I guess the food was ok - for frozen microwave food. Thumbs down. The only saving grace for this place was the ice cream. Now it was good, but I am sure it arrives frozen as well. Hard to mess that up. Thumbs up for the ice cream. This place feeds off its location. The food is obviously low cost microwave food, but the ice cream is very good. So avoid the food and eat...
Read moreOn a lovely but hot day I decided to see “The Last Supper”, as painted by Leonardo De Vinci in Milan. Conveniently across the street is this “cafe”. I had plenty of time before my planned tour so I went in, ordered 2 coffees—cold and hot, and a bakery item and a bottle of water. I sat inside and upon finishing decided to give the barista a tip (hoping it wasn’t a rude thing to do—he kindly accepted!:)).
My tour started and upon one of our breaks I went right back to this place and spent my money there for water, walked a few steps across the street where this cafe had chairs and the POS waiter processing to tell me that I could not sit there…! In no uncertain terms I told him I’ve already paid monies to this cafe — more than just a bottle of water!! He was rude and pressed me to leave. And so I did, while spilling my water on the table and yelling a few choice words!! I will never return there again. I will add the lovely...
