Through the Airbnb Experiences app, we came across a booking ($10.58 each) to sample multiple items from the Calabria region of Italy in the heart of Milan. We did this on a Saturday evening and were led to Sbunda where we met the owners. The shop feels like a deli with specialty food items from the Calabria region to purchase.
I started with a white wine with grapes from Calabria. We were then given a charcuterie board full of different cheeses and meats. Before each item was served, we were educated on what it was. It was nice to understand that although Italy may be known for pizza, pasta, cannoli, risotto, and more, there are certain regions of Italy with completely different foods!
Overall, the food served was just okay. It will fill you up like a full meal, but the highlight is more the education of the Calabria region of Italy while being in Milan.
