The amuse bouche was already setting up the expectations and the chef did not fail to meet them. Lobster was tender and fresh just the portion was so small it was so good😭 sourdough was warm and crunchy sticks were buttery and well salted. The signature risotto combined a lot of flavors: cheesy, herby, and a little tangy and fruity from the raspberry powder. Lovely touch so that it’s not overly cheesy and heavy. Foie gras and eel combo was perfection. Eel was tender with the sauce while foie gras was also tender with fattiness goes down so smoothly while still having the original flavour of each ingredient. I can taste them separately in my mouth but also together. Chicken breast was not super special just cooked well and kept the tenderness instead of being dry but that’s expected at a two star Michelin. The pasta was a little too al dente but the chef made it for it by giving the uni ice cream. Wow. Seafood flavours preserved with sweetness from sugar but also uni itself. The sea grapes also added a crunch to it. Palate cleaner was refreshing. Mille feuille is buttery and crispy although the first bite of the ice cream threw me off. The after taste is refreshing though. I think this is the best petit four I’ve ever had. No misses. Peach chocolate had real bits of peaches so aromatic. Milk chocolate had a good crunch. The pine nut cake had lemon drops on it. I like how the chef balances out sweetness/saltiness with tanginess super refreshing. Lastly the chocolate banana bite was so rich. The service is impeccable: I sneezed and a tissue box was...
Read moreI just had dinner yesterday with my boyfriend in this restaurant and unfortunately I was disappointed. Because service of this restaurant is definitely not 2 stars Michelin, I strongly recommend Michelin officers check this restaurant more attentiv… our disappointment started from beginning of the evening. When we arrived to our table waiter asked as if we would like to have aperitivo, but we told that we would love to order a bottle of wine and asked for wine list… after we waited for wine list more than 30 minutes and maybe we would wait for it until end of our dinner but I just started to complain after 30 minutes waiting. Imagine, 2 stars Michelin restaurant, we already ate appetizers from chef with glass of water 😂 and after they bring us menu for food but nobody cares about wine list… and actually nobody really cares and apologies about this situation until I told about this situation to the manager on my way to restroom. To be honest it feels like restaurant has a system of work and they strictly fallow it but when situation comes out of this system they get distracted and can’t work properly and satisfy needs of their customers… yes, after they offered us 2 glasses of desert wine for free as apologies… but it doesn’t cover our disappointment. Unfortunately… I am really strong user of Michelin guide app and it’s my hobby to visit Michelin stars restaurants and recommended restaurants… I have deep experience and I know what I tell. I wish this restaurant improves, otherwise it’s maximum 1...
Read moreGreat food and great experience, with only one perplexity.
Food quality and dishes’ complexity are truly whole next level. I picked the signature menù “Seta” and I didn’t regret the choice at all. The two Michelin’s stats are highly deserved for each course and the attention to details. Personally, I found really amazing the raspberry rice, but there were many great dishes such as foie gras with eel or cooked oysters. The only dish that didn’t really surprised me, maybe for the high expectations on the raw ingredient, was the one with the blue lobster that I found a bit too light in taste and texture. Besides this, it has definitely been an exciting journey.
The only part where I don’t feel like giving the 5 stars was the service. Let’s be clear, the staff has been amazing and very kind, I also had a long talk with the sommelier and even few minutes with the chef. The issue (or better the bitter feeling) came out at the very end: while being welcomed at the beginning I accepted a glass of Prosecco that only while paying I discovered being priced at 40€ per person. Now, it’s not about the cost (especially considering the budget for this kind of dinner) but more about getting what you pay for. In two people it’s already 80€ and with a bit more i might have preferred to get an entire bottle instead of two glasses. I think that the lack of transparency of this specific phase was definitely a miss. It’s a pity because aside of this event it has been the best dining experience I have had in my...
