SunEleven Rooftop Bar — Restaurant in Milan

The waiters are extremely rude and it doesn’t matter if you have a reservation or not. We made a reservation for Saturday night and went on time. One of the arrogant, rude waiters showed us the bar stools and we told them we made a reservation and would prefer to sit at the table. There was available spots at the table area yet they still refused us to sit there. There were people who were sitting at the tables without a reservation and despite coming on time, our waiter said he can’t help. What is the point of making a reservation and coming on time on a Saturday night if it won’t make you sit at a prober table and have a nice time? They then told us we could wait at the behind until one of the tables leave, and we waited for around 20 minutes. After that time, my friend and I decided to leave, seeing that they totally forgot about us. While leaving, we simply wanted to let our waiter know about the situation and he simply shrugged and said “okay”. He was beyond rude. The waiter is the tanned guy with glasses. I even complained about him to the receptionist downstairs but seeing how they treated us, I am sure no one will do anything. Worst bar ever. Horrible and arrogant staff. Will never go back and made sure to tell about our experience to my friends...

I rarely give less than 3 stars to anything, but this rooftop bar performed far less than any place we have been in our 2.5 week trip so far, including visits to Ireland and Scotland. Upon our arrival at around 7pm, about 2/3 of the tables were unoccupied - the place was empty. They asked if we had a reservation and we said "no", the host looked at us for a couple of seconds, and told us we could sit anywhere. There were only 2 of us, and we were dressed casual, but not sloppy (no shorts or tank tops or sandals). Even though the place was pretty empty, it took at least 5 minutes to place our order of drinks. The beer was cold, but it was only a 12 oz pour, not a pint, and my wife's drink was watered down pretty good. We noticed that a couple of tables that sat after we were already there were greeted with a small snack - they didn't offer us any. And the entire time we felt uncomfortable and ignored. The view of the cathedral is barely noticeable, so that's not a selling point, and the drinks very expensive - way higher than anywhere else we've been. I don't recommend this...

Breve introduzione: Il posto è veramente molto bello, scenografico per fare delle belle foto con lo sfondo della Madonnina ed ottimo per un aperitivo romantico pre-cena.

Spiegazione di come si è svolta la serata: Avevamo prenotato un tavolo per 6, così da fare un aperitivo. Ci presentiamo in ritardo per via di problemi personali che ogni componente del gruppo ha riscontrato per il raggiungimento della location, mentre stiamo arrivando al locale, uno dei responsabili chiama per chiedere informazioni in merito alla nostra prenotazione, altrimenti avrebbero ceduto il tavolo. Arriviamo ed il posto era vuoto. Ordiniamo degli spritz ed un calice di vino: il cameriere ritorna con la nostra ordinazione e con 2 vassoi composti da 3 ciotoline ciascuno (2 di patatine ed 1 di taralli). Assaggiamo i drink ed il vino bianco risulta essere guasto. Chiediamo al cameriere la cortesia di cambiarlo perché tendente al gusto di aceto, non abbiamo capito se fosse il vino o se il bicchiere fosse rimasto contaminato da del sapone ed avesse alterato il gusto della bevanda. Il cameriere torna portando la bottiglia ed indicando che era stata appena aperta, replichiamo con cortesia che il vino non è buono e che sarebbe opportuno cambiarlo invitandolo all'assaggio. Il cameriere non potendo assaggiare il vino torna al bancone portando via il calice servito in precedenza e ritorna al nostro tavolo con un nuovo calice indicando che avevano versato lo stesso vino, della stessa bottiglia, in un altro calice. Rimaniamo interdetti, accettiamo questa soluzione ed al nuovo assaggio il vino sembra effettivamente migliore. Ordiniamo un altro giro, dei nachos e almeno altri 2 vassoietti come quelli serviti in precedenza, perché fare un aperitivo a Milano presuppone avere del cibo come delle crudità, stuzzichini vari, così da arrivare all'orario del dopo cena sazio, ma a quanto pare in questo posto non era previsto questo trattamento. Dopo 1h circa veniamo informati che il locale sta per chiudere e ci hanno consegnato il preconto, ne prendiamo visione e li abbiamo avuto una brutta sorpresa: sono stati calcolati 2 calici di vino bianco (ne è stato bevuto solo 1). Ci rechiamo alla cassa e proviamo a spiegare alla responsabile che cosa sia successo e che probabilmente c'era stato un errore nel calcolo di 2 calici di vino; forse era bene non esporsi perché la persona è stata arrogante, particolarmente irremovibile sulle sue idee ed ha fatto di tutto pur di non soddisfare 6 persone che per la prima volta si sono recati in un posto nuovo. Oltre al danno, la beffa: 25€ e qualche centesimo a testa per 2 drink, taralli e l'ultimo che ha pagato ha avuto un arrotondamento da 0.02€.

Se esco sicuramente andrò a spendere dei soldi, ma il sunto di questa avventura è stato che ne io, ne i miei amici torneremo mai più in quel posto dopo l'atteggiamento sprezzante, arrogante, poco conciliatore e comprensivo della...
