Top Missori Bistrò — Restaurant in Milan

I was in town for a week and was staying a few blocks from Duomo di Milano for work. My first night, I passed Top and was instantly curious about this unassuming, yet chic, establishment a few short blocks from what I thought would be my destination. A quick glance at the (week’s) menu told me that this was a place worth stopping at. A short while later I realized that I no longer had any need to walk the rest of the way to tourist central. This was a place worth spending time at. With options ranging from Sea Bass, to Beet Root Gnochetti, to a Cheeseburger, this menu could satisfy even the pickiest of pallets. Bar none, the thing I was happiest with was the service. It’s sometimes hard to feel at home in a foreign country, yet the team at Top accomplished just that. Over the course of my stay in Milano, I passed the restaurant several times and each time was greeted with a wave, which I just took as a kind gesture. When I did eventually return, the staff greeted me as if I were a regular and remembered my order from my first time there, four days prior. I can assure you, that I did not order anything out of the ordinary that first night. The second time around was even better than the first, with both food and drink recommendations that I would not have picked myself, but was all the more satisfied for having tried. Top Missori Wine Bar and Bistro was an amazing experience and I highly recommend this for a romantic night out for couples.  Matteo, the owner, was an amazingly welcoming, warm and possesses an amazing command of the palate.  He was able to listen to our wine preferences and pair us the most excellent wine selections.   The best feature for this venue, the ability to try virtually any wine you desire by the glass.  So, you are free to explore endless varieties of wines.  Top Missori offers far more selections than any other wine tasting venue we have experienced.  The food served at this venue is the best I have had in Italy.  The chef is truly talented and every selection served is at superior quality and greatly compliment the amazing wines.  Everything about our experience was perfect.  I highly recommend reserving some time in your vacation plans for a romantic evening shared with the warm and friendly staff at Top Missori that work hard to make your experience special.  To fully enjoy this experience, be prepared to spend 2 hours or longer to submerge into the broad selection of wines and an amazing array of appetizers and meal selections.  You will not regret the...

My husband and I came here for dinner on our last night in Milan and we were not disappointed. We had eaten a large lunch, so I decided to get the beef tartar as my entree, and he got the osso bucc with risotto Milanese. My beef tartar was fantastic, the flavor was perfect and there was plenty for me to have as an entree, although the meat was just a tiny bit chewy. I tried a bite of my husband’s food and it was also very good, although his risotto was just a touch on the salty side. He loved it. We both ate every bite. For dessert I decided to try their tiramisu which was not a traditional tiramisu but was sort of a modern take on the dish, and my husband got their dessert of the day, which was some sort of mango and gelato something that I didn’t try but he said was really good. That tiramisu though…. It was delicious, I would come back just to eat that again, although it was a bit difficult to cut, I would have liked to have a knife.
