Visitato in estate Lasciate da parte almeno per un giorno i vari sushi, sashimi, uramaki....e tuffatevi in un'esperienza di vera cucina giapponese che si tramanda da anni in questo famoso locale, nato come gastronomia che ora offre anche diversi coperti per gustare in tutta tranquillità la loro offerta. Le preparazioni, a meno che non siete stati in giappone e siete quindi un po' famigliari con la cucina tradizionale giapponese, vi risulteranno tutte nuove, particolari e lontane mille miglia da quella che è l'offerta standardizzata della stragrande maggioranza dei locali giapponesi in Italia. Noi abbiamo deciso di lasciare carta bianca alla cucina e di farci guidare in un percorso gastronomica a loro scelta. Si incomincia con un tris di piatti della tradizione: un'insalata di patate alla giapponese che ricorda molto la nostra insalata russa, uno stufato di alghe hijiki preparate con tofu fritto secco e verdure, e infine un piatto di kiriboshi daikon, ossia una rapa giapponese essicata e poi stufata con salsa di soia. Davvero un inizio spettacolare con dei piatti davvero particolari dagli ingredienti davvero speciali e ben in armonia tra loro. Molto azzeccate anche le diverse consistenze che si possono trovare. Abbiamo poi proseguito con 2 piatti, chiamiamoli così, principali da spellarsi le mani dagli applausi! Il primo era uno sgombro marinato da gustare rigorosamente con la sua pelle, accompagnato da un mix di verdure e salsa che aveva anche lo scopo di "pulire" il palato tra un boccone e l'altro. Il secondo era una fantastica sorta di insalata di mizuna con delle fettine sottilissime di manzo marinato e servito con una deliziosa salsa. A completare il pasto ci sono stati portati anche un curry ice, piatto dalle chiare influenze indiane a base di manzo, cipolle, carote, patate e curry. Piatto delicato e mediamente speziato. Infine una deliziosa zuppa di miso...dimenticatevi quelle bevute fin'ora!! Non sazio, mentre la mia compagna si gustava un dolce, ho chiesto che mi venisse portata un'ultima preparazione: la cucina ha fatto uscire una deliziosa ciotola di cavolo nero saltato con olio di sesamo, sesamo bianco tostato, salsa di soia e mirin. Spettacolare il contrasto amaro (cavolo)-dolce (sesamo). La cena è stata accompagnata da una discreta Ribolla Gialla di Cadibon. Io sono molto più attratto dalla Ribolla Gialla della zona di Oslavia dove questo vigneto, a mia opinione, trova il suo habitat naturale e offre il meglio di sè. La carta dei vini secondo me è l'unica area che potrebbe migliorare, un suggerimento spassionato sarebbe quello di farsi consigliare da qualche fornitore (uno su tutti Scarpitti Distribuzione le cui carte si riconoscono subito!) che possa preparare una piccola lista di piccoli produttori selezionati che diano un tocco ancora più esclusivo a questo gioiello della gastronomia. Il rapporto qualità prezzo del, chiamiamolo menu degustazione, è pazzesco! 38€ a testa...

From the moment we stepped into this beautiful Japanese restaurant, we were welcomed with warm smiles and an atmosphere of true hospitality. The staff was incredibly polite, attentive, and genuinely kind — they made us feel not just like customers, but like honored guests.

There's a casual seating area at the front where you can buy or eat food and wait for a table. The service is friendly and personal. I was seduced by the curry since I haven't had a japanese curry for a few years. Theirs is enormous - be warned - and more like a gravy than a curry. You get a delicious miso soup, a very small side dish (potato salad) and very small salad. I couldn't finish a third of my curry. Very tasty but the wrong choice for a very hot day. No typical japanese food here - no sashimi or the like, altho they have nigiri, no tempura....nice choice if you want a hearty well-presented meal. Cost was 14euros incl a Bottle of...

There's a casual seating area at the front where you can buy or eat food and wait for a table. The service is friendly and personal. Important: Reserve a table! Although we managed to get a spot on Saturday without a reservation (We came 10 or 15min after the opening time and got the last available table. We were very lucky.) Love their logo, the decor is minimalistic but cosy, and the pictures on the wall are a nice touch (I even wanted to buy one haha) Don't leave without trying the "Unadon" (amazing eel that we haven't found in any other place we had tried before in Italy). And the panna cotta was to die for - perfect dessert! When you order the lunch dish, you get rice with fish/curry/etc. and three side dishes (including a miso soup). I was really pleasantly surprised by the onigiri with plum. The staff was really friendly and helpful. They have also a small shop inside, where you can buy some food, teas, fans and a Japanese packing cloth.

My friend got a unagi don (recommended) I got a curry raisu The eel was very tasty (even for someone who doesn’t usually eat fish) The curry was a bit thinner than what I am used to, but still tasted ok The side cabbage salad was a bit too salty Eggplant and zucchini was ok Maybe a little less salt in the miso soup Also, if the rice itself was higher quality, I think the overall texture of the dishes would be great Service was very fast btw (food came out faster than McDonald’s 🤣) Basically, food was ok for Japanese home style cooking. Service was fast. Attentive and informative staff. I’m only giving 4 stars because the food did not exceed or meet my expectations. All in all, it’s not a bad place to come for home style Japanese food
