I'm giving this review based on my recent experience at this restaurant. As a tourist, you only have so much time and you hope that you have a good experience at the restaurant you choose to eat at. Me and my family were only stopping in for a couple of drinks and a snack and we figured this place would do the trick as other reviews were positive.
We only had 2 beers each and a pot of appetizer mussels and the bill was over $80 euros. Not to mention the waiter couldn't be bothered to bring us a paper menu and assumed all travelers have data and can scan QR code menus.
The beer was good, the mussels were very bland and half of them were closed (meaning they aren't safe to eat).
When it came time to pay the bill, the waiter was insistent we pay with cash, even though we were reassured before sitting down that they accept card. He gave us a flimsy excuse that their machine doesn't reach out to the patio and my father said he would be happy to come inside to pay. My father went inside and we waited a long time for him to come out, I finally sent my husband in to see what the hold up was. There was all these waiters standing around him trying to be intimidating and after MUCH insisting, they allowed him to pay with card.
May I remind you this is one of the most people boardwalks in Naples and every hole in the wall had a debit/credit terminal.
Anyways, it really soured the whole experience and made us feel really bad. I personally would NOT recommend this place to anyone, especially tourist because clearly the staff is trying to take advantage of your lack of knowledge...
Read moreReally poor experience - we’ve been on a two week trip around Italy probably eating in 20+ restaurants now and this was the worst experience of them all unfortunately. The service was really poor - despite being basically empty, the waiters ignored us and sat on the steps next to the restaurant smoking; they even tried to correct my Italian (I barely speak any) when I tried to make an effort. They also were arguing with each other aggressively most of the hour we were there, so the atmosphere was quite hostile and not relaxing. The food was quite disappointing too - I’m not really a food snob and will eat most things; it was very bland though and I had to add a lot of my own seasoning to the bruschetta and Gnocchi. The only good thing was that the restaurant is AIC accredited and so there were gluten free options for my girlfriend and she seemed broadly happy with the approach to celiac. I rarely give out bad reviews but unfortunately this experience was a stand out bad experience on a 2 week trip of amazing food. Would...
Read moreTerrible service. Got a glass with a piece of sponge in it. Can happen, asked for a new one. The server took the glass with half my coke, brought a new (dirty) glass and did not bother to bring a new coke or at least refill what he took away. Food was alright but nothing special, wine tasted like cork and was sour. Went there for the gluten-free options. At the end they charged a 5€ coperto per person which is given the service was poor and there was no bread or water included ridiculous. I think in our case at least for one person it should have been waved. There are so many other gluten-free options around, opt for one of those because the service of this one is just terrible… Already expecting to get the same copy paste answer everyone here got for their bad review, about how sorry they are but honestly I don’t think they are, if they were they at least would go into detail about what went wrong in...
