Tatami Japanese Restaurant Napoli — Restaurant in Naples

I usually don’t write reviews, but I believe this experience deserves to be shared – especially with the management.

Last night, my friend and I dined at Tatami Sushi (Municipio location) and opted for the All You Can Eat menu at €30 per person. After enjoying our meal over two hours, we had just 3 gamberi and 5 small pieces of sushi left. When we asked for the bill, we were unexpectedly told to pay an extra €10 as a penalty for not finishing the food.

We were never informed about this rule beforehand — not by the staff, not on the menu, and not at the time of ordering. We’ve had All You Can Eat at other places, and this was the first time we encountered such a penalty without prior notice.

When we politely questioned the charge, one of the waitresses began shouting at us and accused us of asking too many questions — her tone was unprofessional and very disrespectful. It turned what was meant to be an enjoyable evening into a very uncomfortable situation.

We paid the full €70 that was our bill only, but we left feeling disrespected and unwelcome. The service was also quite slow, and the sushi portions were very small. Most of the staff seemed visibly exhausted and uninterested, which made us feel as if we were eating for free — or as if they were doing us a favor.

The food itself was decent, but the rude behavior and lack of customer respect overshadowed everything. I sincerely hope the owner reads this review and considers offering an apology — not just for the surprise penalty, but for how we were treated. Every customer deserves to feel respected, especially after paying for a full meal.

DA EVITARE ASSOLUTAMENTE!!! Ci siamo presentati in 4, 2 adulti 2 bambini e successivamente ci hanno raggiunti 2 amici che seguito richiesta di solo drink si sono accomodati x 4 menù. Abbiamo ordinato diverse cose con la formula all you can eat. Inizialmente ci hanno informato che la formula prevedeva un massimo di 48 portate, escluse bevande senza dire altro prima e durante. Alla fine per 7 nigiri rimasti ci hanno addebitato un extra di € 20,00 per cibo non consumato. A quel punto abbiamo chiesto se era possibile una box take away per evitare i spechi. Richiesta rifiutata comunicandoci che o andava consumato o non era possibile portarlo a casa, quasi da farci intendere che il cibo invece di essere buttato sarebbe stato rimpiazzato x altri clienti, COSA A DIR POCO SCANDALOSA e alla fine data l’insistenza della penale ho preteso di pagare l’extra e buttarli poco distanti dal locale. Nonostante la mancata informazione prima e durante, la tipa ha iniziato a insinuare che questa regola ci era stata fatta visionare dal tablet, cosa assolutamente non vera, e successivamente riferita dalla collaboratrice durante la cena, entrambi versioni false, scusa è versione banale giusto per gonfiare il conto di altri Euro. Inoltre c’era una persona che ha preso una patatina fritta e bibite a parte pagata regolarmente, giusto x farci compagnia perché non ama il Sushi, entrambi amici alla sola vista dei piatti sono andati via senza assolutamente toccare nulla, consumando solo le patatine e le bibite pagate a parte. Inoltre aggiungo che nonostante eravamo in 4 e 2 ospiti a tavola solo x drink, sostenevano che avevamo consumato il cibo tutti invece che di 4 e sempre la solita tipa voleva sostenere che gli amici a parte i drink extra avevano approfittato delle pietanze, cosa che nemmeno sotto tortura avrebbero fatto, entrambi non amanti del cibo Giapponese. Ci hanno accusati di aver visto dalle telecamere, cosa al quanto assurda ed intollerabile e quando abbiamo chiesto di provare e fornirci il video nonostante la cosa violava i diritti di privacy, si sono rifiutati di provare quanto ingiustamente sostenevano pur di addebitare una penale per extra profit che alla fine da Signore per quanto fosse ridicolo il teatrino architettato per 20 miseri Euro. Inoltre quando ho chiesto di chiamarmi sia il manager che la ragazza che ci ha accolto al tavolo che a dir loro sosteneva di averci informati di eventuale penale e accusati di aver mangiato in 6 e non in 4, magicamente entrambi erano andati via e che non potevano mostrare le telecamere, DAVVERO RIDICOLI. FATE ATTENZIONE, altro che ristorante Giapponese, la differenza tra Giapponesi e Cinesi è proprio questa. Giapponesi civili e rispettosi verso chiunque, Cinesi truffaldini e per nulla cortesi, gran parte ben noti in Italia dei loro atteggiamenti e modi di truffare clienti e il fisco italiano. Personalmente 2 adulti 2 bambini 4 e 10 anni una cena di Sushi di qualità discreta per un totale di € 115 + 20 per la penale a sorpresa, la ritengo una vera rapina. So they really want you to get the eat-all-you-can. For dinner it's €28.90, for lunch €18.90. We came for dinner. We were not super hungry, so we ordered a la carte. For person #1 a rice bowl and piece of fish (total 16€), and for person #2, a 20-piece sushi platter for 20€. We each had a beverage for €3 and they also charged a €2 "coperto" charge for each person. Total bill €46.

The food portions were the tiniest I have ever seen. Had we known it was so tiny, we for sure would not have ordered anything here. I don't recommend eating here unless you are very hungry and are planning to get the eat-all-you-can. The menu is deceptive because it's not clear that the portions...
